please tell me you weighed the engine in stock form as well , and what numbers did you get ? looking really good man , i cant wait till this is done . should be a good weapon
thanks guys Dave attacking the wiring. relocating PTU and HKS twin spark inside next to ECU and deleting all the unused crap engine is in . loom soldered to new connectors and YES will be run under the plenum. Intercooler/piping fits well with no mods . loom wrapped with high temp tape. also wrapped the fuel lines with very high temp material passed the dumps . Engine went in very easy ..surprised the AMS dumps fit quite well plenty of clearance everwhere! AMS test pipes heaps of clearance to the body ..though does sit a little below the rail height . Have decided to run the specialty Z stainless 3" catback with non resonated Xpipe. All I have to do is cut the AMS 2.5" reducer off and weld a 3" pipe and flange on ....100% bolt up kit . Can't see the point in going custom as it wont perform or look any better. Its well designed with hardly any bends with offset entry
New version Turbosmart 50mm Race BOV's are now in. these are lighter and more compact . no longer need plumbacks
EXHAUST update SZ 3" stainless Catback This is one QUALITY catback system! The X PIPE still has a 5.5 inch cross section on the join maintaining max flow. Some X pipes cut too much into the pipes reducing that section as small as 4inches . . . the finish and smooth transition of the pipes and flanges are excellent ..I cant fault it . . . the AMS test pipes modified to 3" flange to mate up to the rest . Wide band sensors installed just before the resonators and wires run into existing grommet holes in the floor (old cat sensors run?)and inside under carpet along tunnel AMS bungs are in a STUPID location (2nd pic down)..pointing down to the road . overall fits great ...the rear hanger had to be lowered (spacer)by 15mm due to the TWINZ bar being slightly lower than stock
