car is currently getting some major suspension surgery done at UAS along with brakes being fitted. will post pics up real soon.

Holy shyte what a list! Thing is going to be a monster if it all falls together, hope you destroy a lot of GTR's in the process like the UAS slot car, I suppose if you've got the $$$ to throw at it you can truely realise the Z potential! Are upgraded Valve Springs the only thing you need to think about, as well as proper ECU mapping, to safely increase the VG's rev limit? How many revs are you expecting to make out of this thing, since I'm guessing RS's will hold boost easily until redline? And also, reckon the JWT Mild Cams will change the exhaust note much? I hear cammed VG's are the shizzle.
The 3 things I put in the engine is all you need to make decent power metal headgaskets (handle boost) mild cams (will maxout stock heads ) springs (clean revs) engine already has cams and springs in it .. and revs clean to 7500rpm now with high flow turbos ..nice idle and a nice revving note built engine will come later ,no point now as its still fresh
suspension upgrade subframe has been raised with SPL alloy subframe bushes here is a pic of the ikeya lower arm bolted on with stock geometry. arrow shows where it will be raised around 40mm to change the anti-squat/roll centres...other side may come down 5mm-10mm.. fabrication started on raising pivot points
Bloody hell!!!!! I did not realise that the Z32 had so much anti squat tilt to the LCA, that is crap for a circuit car. I'd be getting those two inner LCA pivot points parallel to the ground, that will improve rear end grip no end.
Good on you Rob years in planning and saving up and discussing and finally happening. Looks like the workshop you are at know what they are doing? 2 Seater Zeds have one advantage over 4 seaters, being that you can linnish the cradle bushes flush to raise roll centre and top control arm and traction arm brackets clear the chassis, 4 seater does not. More major surgery required to raise roll centre on 4 seaters. Rob will be able to run fully sick low with good roll centres, after front is raised also.
Why is that John? I thought the subframes between the two are the same? Is there something on the 2+2 getting in the way if you raise the subframe?
They probably are but the Chassis sits higher away from the mounts on 2 seater. Can raise the frame of the 4 seater just not as much.
