    Benny_C About as subtle as...

One would assume the supplier (aka UAS) would package the products awaiting courier pickup? no?

...if so, then i think Angrybear's comment is perfectly reasonable to post up for a possible rebuttal...?

That's not stirring the pot Rob. More than one have complained that parts with a cost of up around $900 were couriered under a single sheet of bubble wrap and arrived damaged.

Let's make this really easy for you. Were they couriered under a single sheet of bubble wrap? - No weasel words, no ducking and weaving - a simple Yes or No will suffice.

Further, did you personally courier the items? Yes or No again please.

If Yes - please explain the lack of care, and what you plan to do about the problems.

if No - what is the purpose of your post?

If you think I am being irresponsible being a Moderator in commenting on this, then you haven't a clue what being a Moderator is all about. Issues such as this are the whole reason why there are Moderators. To act in the interests of the majority.

Instead of throwing a brick at me, have you contacted NVZ32 and offered to help? Have you contacted UAS and asked them to help him? Yes or No here will do as well.

You will have no luck with TOLL. i have had $3000 dollar heads dropped in transit, i just had to cop the bill. Apparently unless they sender has it packed by the courier company, they take no responsibility. I don't think you telling UAS they have to pay to fix the problem is going to help your situation at all. These things happen, and while it is unfortunate, sometimes we just have to suck it up and move on. I hope you have more luck then i did!

Seeing that made me feel ill. I can imagine your dissapointment.
Mine came single wrapped too but not a mark on it. Phew.
Good luck and try taking this crap in your stride.

I could well ask you the same question.

Your post has absoloutely nothing to do with resolving the situation and you know it. Trying to put me on the spot and paint me as a bullshit artist with your "hard line" questioning isn't going to fly.

You have no idea what steps are or are not being taken by the retailer to remedy the complaint, so your criticism is not warranted.

Furthermore you know I am not involved in the despatching of the product so don't try and put me in the spot because i've called you out. The buyer has made contact directly with UAS who as far as either of us (again you or I know) are taking steps to resolve it. Until that has played out all you are doing is fanning the flames.

Not a single Yes or No

Unlike you, I feel the pain of the member who has spent so much money to be treated so outrageously, and I am not personally involved, nor am I an apologist for anyone.

Wrong again. As a Moderator, if I feel that certain members or businesses are not doing the right thing by the members is selling their wares, we can exclude them from the For Sale Forums. It has been done before, it can and will be done again. I am personally watching to see if anyone involved will man up for NVZ32.

i think if you are serious about shipping one of these items in a safe way then it needs to be in a box. I have a mate who works for Toll here in brisbane and he has told me the process that itmes like these are loaded onto trucks, the guys who handle them are carefull to a point but if they are not in a box then there is a good chance that damage will occur.

HAving siad that , to box each one might result in more postage costs, Tolls cost would be the same but it would be more hassle for the guys who send them out

    Thanks for the character assasination.

Bit rich from someone who is supposed to be an impartial third party.

More's the point you have no idea how much of my time and effort has gone into this. You have no right, and no cause to get stuck into me. We've been through this before on the open forum and as I said last time from our limited personal interaction you should at least appreciate that I am an OK guy. Your attempted character assasination is way off the mark and totally unwarranted.

More supposition and innuendo and again highly inappropriate. You don't know what has transpired and what steps have been taken by the retailer since being notified of the problem which was only posted at 3pm today, yet you are prepared to imply wrongdoing??

I understand and appreciate all of that. But life is not all fair weather sailing. I find it increasingly tiresome that whenever there is a problem with anything from UAS, rob260 provides the defence. My recommendation - Don't. If the problem has nothing to do with you, stay out of it.

If you had personally nothing to do with any of the handling, you should not have dropped yourself in it. If you indeed have secret inside information about what is happening behind the scenes, fine. If you don't want to publish it on the Forum, send me a PM. If you don't want to share it, well take your chances in the Forum of public opinion.

In all of this, you have consistently avoided giving any opinion on what you think of the manner in which these bars were dispatched, nor where the responsibility for the damage properly lies. I have put the question to you clearly enough, and enough times.

If you find that question too uncomfortable to answer, well stay out of the thread.

You are putting words in my mouth. At no point in this discussion have I made any reference to packaging, UAS, explanations etc, and nor do I intend to. My criticism has been entirely of your pot stirring and that remains the case.

Again with the innuendo??? How clear do I have to make this??

I'm not going to be drawn into an opinion oriented argument regarding a scenario neither of us is directly involved in, and nor should you be attempting to perpetuate one.

I've made my point and I'm not going to be harrassed into discussing any further.

    That's it from me.

SPAM SPAM SPAM... you ladies finished yet?

This is one of those threads where everyone gets way ahead of themselves and then chili comes along with a conspiracy theory:p... lets all chill and see what happens instead of the useless banter in between?

Fact 1: Bar was poorly packaged
    Fact 2: Bar was damaged
Fact 3: Parties involved, transport and supplier have been notified

    And now we wait...

If you are saying you don't know either well I must admit that was not the way I read that sentence. I thought you were doing the "I know something you don't know routine". I withdraw the implication, and the recommendation.

But I am taking a personal Moderator interest in NVZ32 being looked after, for his sake and for everyone else who might be tempted to deal down that channel in the future. I would have thought the reputations of those concerned would have been focused more on having the right thing being done and the right thing being seen to be done, rather than debating semantics with me.

Given that you have been unable in all your indignation to get on topic even once (Reminder: Who is responsible for the poor packaging, and who is looking after NVZ32?) please go away, you are clogging up the thread by trying to make me the issue. I'm not.

Have a free swing if you like; I'm done volleying with you, but very much still on the case.

What to do? What to do? What to do?

Delete this post as being off topic, or surrender to my inherent curiosity and ask for an English language translation? Maybe engage a cryptographer?

What to do? What to do? What to do?

    Righto,

I'll Start with a Thank You to those that have shown support for the matter so far

While being VERY dissapointed with the whole situation, all i can do is hear what they have to say in regard to the matter(hopefully tomorrow)

I hold NOTHING against rob (he put alot of effort into getting this GB through and sorted) as far as i'm aware i thought he dealt VERY closely with UAS on many things, If he has info/knowledge on how these bars were packed/sent that he does not want to share in the open forum due to his relationship with UAS thats his business and for one dont hold him accountable for my situation,.

However i DO hold UAS as a whole and TOLL responsible...
UAS:- If the bar was packed/boxed correctly etc it wouldn't have got damaged in the first place.
TOLL:- If it was correctly packed there heavy handling wouldn't have broke it.

Some of you have said "well it would prob cost more to send it in a box" B.S i got my OEM Urethane 2K bar sent from UAS which came with my thermo and 2k indicators IN A BOX!! for $90
I paid $100 for them to send the TwinZ bar wrapped in a piece of bubblewrap!

I have only had good dealings with JP at UAS and have bought many things from them, so i will reserve judgement on them untill i hear what they have to say..

one thing though i WILL NOT be paying to fix it out of my pocket...WHY SHOULD I..it most certaintly isn't my fault its damaged, i have paid almost $1000 for a "NEW" bumper that isn't exactly easy to come by so why should i be the one that has to fix it at my own expense when its either TOLL/UAS fault its arrived broken..

And this friends is where i can see the problem arising... TOLL will blame UAS, UAS will blame TOLL and while they try to work it out i sit here with my thumb up my ass, while my "NEW" diffuser sits in the garage collecting dust

Hopefully short time will tell what will be done to resolve the issue

I was just saying it may have cost more to send in a box, trying to see both sides but i agree, it should have been boxed, ive sent bumpers before by using 2nd hand cardboard boxes that new bumpers are sent to panel shops, Panel beaters are only too happy to get rid of those giant boxes so thats one way of getting a box for free and like i said before it wouldnt have cost any extra through Toll

Mate it sucks. I used to deal with a major manufacturer whose spare parts department had a habit of putting heavy steel gears in with decals and electronic components ( you can guess the results ) . After many phone calls i came to the obvious conclusion that some people just aren't that clever. This same department used to send me black doors when i ordered white doors w.t.f ? so i thought i would call them to sort it all out. Well the rocket scientist that answered the phone asked me how he could tell what door he was sending me  My response was that if he got off he's fat arse and walked to the shelve the doors where sitting on then opened the box the answer would be obvious  Yep guess what i recieved another black door. Some people just aren't that clever. I personaly think if they are stupid enough to send you that part in a single piece of bubble wrap that they are not mensa material. Keep on there back and well done for posting your complaint as hopefully others will think hard about dealing with them if they do not deal with your legitimate complaint without stuffing you around. The ball is well and truly in there court.

It is not viable to get individual boxes. The factory front bars come in boxes from Nissan. We could have wrapped them better, although there we so many to get out the door and take up so much room. We have had very few problems with Toll Ipec over the years. Yes Jane is communicaitng with Scott. We were only made aware of this yesterday and received pics.
