Check the Clutch Fluid reservoir beside the brake fluid reservoir, If its done below low then its not the clutch. When your clutch goes you should still be able to change gears.
Your right the clutch fluid is empty (Tr Can you elaborate on what the problem most likely is then. Clutch Master Cyclinder Leak? Can't see any fluid on the ground. Hmm.
I'd be checking the clutch slave cylinder and clutch fork. Had a similar issue myself, clutch stayed on the floor at the lights. Turned out to be a broken clutch fork pivot which caused the master cylinder piston to travel too far and drop all the clutch fluid.
So, That clutch issue. That morning I was confident enough to drive it down to my trusty mechanic when..... I got to the roundabout, and just didn't wanna force it into gear. I did the responsible thing and got it towed. (Free of charge, of course) Had 2 hours to kill while they kept me waiting. Look at that idiot P plater broken down on the side of a road. What a Twat Degeo Wheels. Can't find any information on that manufacturer, apparently Australian company? Anyways, I'm unsure of what exactly the issue was, leaking slave cyclinder or seized altogether? was rebuilt nonetheless. Feels like new again. Wish I had the space/tools to do the simple sh!t myself. Can't even jack the car to paint the calipers cause of living unit arrangements. ~sigh~
Oh by the way, While getting it towed, d!ckface didn't give two shits about damaging the front bar. Yes I know the front bar looks like a heap of sh!t, it is a heap of sh!t, but the way he just stood there while it bent back on itself as he winched it up was pathetic.
I usually inform them its low and they bring a special truck. now that mines fiberglass and the car is lowered I probably cant tow it at all.
Can anyone confirm these from CZP will fit RHD Z32's? https://www533.ssldomain.com/conceptzperformance/Cart/description.php?II=318
Ordering quite a few things through CZP, one of which is a set of 99' spec tail lights. Now I am getting the Centre Panel as well but I'll keep it as a spare and use my Current Indiglo Panel. My current panel is a little worn so today I got some wet 2000grit sandpaper and sanded it down, then polished it up with some clear plastic polish, here's the result. Got rid of a big key mark near the lock. Looks perfect now. Compared to untouched stock tail-lights:
Autobaaaaarn for both. The plastic polish was "Motorcycle Plastic Polish" as thats all they sold. Same shit. Dont go any coarser than 2000grit wet. Theres no need.
Zeds in getting the Ebay Greddy bar put on. Ebay Bar Link Theres been a bit of talk about the quality of them lately. Well keep in mind I did fully disclose that it was a copy, and won't fit flush without a bit of modification. The total job is: Fitting Painting Fibreglass Flush the Fog-light Ducts They are also reinforcing the joins to the guard and to the bar retainers in-front of the wheel-arch. (Unsure of what kind of steel he's using, probably just aluminium) Cannot find any quality mesh around town, So I'll look online and I'll sikaflex it myself down the track. Cost: $1,000 Yes, costly as hell, but It's the only reputable quality fibreglasser/panel beater in town, known for fitting a few kits. So I'm expecting a quality job. I'll keep you posted on what was necessary to fit the bar flush.
For anyone interested in the Ebay 'Bomex' Greddy Front Bar These is the modifications you will need to glass over, bog up, and sand down to fit. In advice I have chosen not to fit the bar. I instead will be going to Ztoy for his 2k Spec EBAY BAR IMHO IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY EXTRA: Left hand indicator will not fit, requires alot of sanding. Nose Panel now does not fit. a chunk will have to be taken out of the bar to allow the bolts to line up for the nose panel. I DO NOT SUGGEST BUYING THE EBAY COPY. I MYSELF WILL NOT GET IT FIT.
wow, thats a long way from fitting! at least you didnt get it all painted and then find out the fit is poor.
Goodies Got some stock rear side markers because I ruined my original ones with super glue, gotta order new clear markers again. Stock JSpec Indicators. Stock Aus-Spec (Dummy) Indicators I'm unsure which I'd like better. Since I'm deleting the fogs, the smoked look of the aus-spec indicators might be the go. These will some up a treat with a good sand and polish.
Interesting, I especially like the sanding down of your tail light centre panel. I'll give that a try myself tomorrow.
Hey Pepper, this thread might be helpful to you! http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312882 indicators and parkers moved to aus spec dummys what's cool is that they're not actually smoked... it's a clear lens with black plastic. so there's no trouble seeing the lights.
Passenger Belt http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=313465 Removed the Trim. Soaked the Belt. Re-tensioned the Spring. Belt retracts great now. Tweed Dye THIS ONE IMAGE Makes me want to dye all my tweed BLACK. So I set to work. I'll start with just the speaker covers to test how well it works.. I'm thinking, two coats. Coat #1 Coat #2 Thicker to get it so soak in as directed. So far so good. Tweed is stiffer, and very black.
