I tried a search once again but to no avail...

From what i can gather the 91' Twin turbo Zed is around 140ish rwkw stock as a rock (please correct if wrong)

I want to get at least 250 at the wheels with out compromising to much of the stock structure of how the engine work e.g keeping the two separate inter coolers and stuff like that

basically, i need to know what mods i could do and the price id be looking at.

    cheers
    - Zan

It also depends on the condition of the car, depending on how well the car has been treated will differ the results.

Stock TT should be higher than 140rwkw... more like 170rwkw.

hell yes......man a TT with only 140rwkw is very sad.....imfact i think a normal v6 3 litre will do that if not more...ie toyota aurion is like 200kw...so like 170rwkw or a little less...

depends on auto or manual turbos and cams remember. getting anything more than 245kw+ on auto turbs and cams is difficult

Custom exhaust with Hi flow metal core cats and good mufflers mandrel bend 2.5 inch - $900 to $2100

when u say on the cheep, i still dont think you can get it that cheep......i mean most things you cant get much cheaper....only real difference in price and hence performace is if your talking about a manual BC or a EBC...

btw i havnt heard much talk about water injection on here....whats the go with that? anyone fill me in??

    250rwkw:
    Pod
    $80
    Dumps/Catpipes(testpipes)/Exhaust Dual 2.5" or 3"
$259 (ZRATED GB) + $350 (what blackheartedprofit paid for his catback from memory)
    ECU remap
If you know how to remap yourself, or you have access to your own maps, as low as $10 for the chip if you have a mate with a eprom burner, or $40 I think ZRATED said he would burn a tune for me that I provided.
    Boost controller
Simark manual boost controller, $30, or welding tips ~$2?
    Intercoolers
Jamez Sidemounts if they ever arrive, $530, or I think $650 people paid for the FMIC? $649 PZP FMIC. Either way, you could pick up 240sx intercoolers and custom mount them for less than this price, or buy someone's 2nd hand FMIC that they are selling.

    Total
    $1350 (PZP FMIC)≈ the ~1300 price i stated earlier.
    $1231 (JamezSidemountIfTheyCome)

    I win.

Have a look at my mods list...

I made 256rwkw@14psi. couldn't go any higher, as it was starting to get dangerously lean. I'm yet to fit the larger injectors I have (555cc), but my aim target will be 300rwkw@18-20psi when I've finished what I have planned.

    Hey Sim......

You should really give Kouta43 a hoi and go see what the hell his mechanic is doing with his car. The joker told him the engine was stuffed because it had a few hoses and belts that needed replacing and it was overheating.

Tried to convince him to go engine swap to an RB motor instead !!!

Sounds like a case of "rip off merchant" to me!:banned:

I think you will get there Jono just a matter of time matey. You have built a solid foundation but I do question your turbo choice though. I think you will get there but may have to up the boost a little higher.

even a pod filter, cat back and $30 boost controller set to 12 psi will see you hitting 200rwkw..
so easy to get close to the 250rwkw mark on these cars,
    140rwkw = saftey boost. 6 psi and rich/retarded maps
stock tt should make 170rwkw as stated on 9 psi and normal maps.

    I think it's achievable too...

Many do, but I'm still unsure why. Sure, they are hi-flowed turbos (which many people question), but the internals are EXACTLY the same as the GT28R turbos. Only difference is my compressor housing is slightly smaller, which I think/and hope to prove makes minimal difference.
I wanted to try something different, and I don't know of any other forum member doing the same. Hopefully it will pay off :)

The only issue will be at higher turbo rpm speeds as the turbo goes to flow more it will compress it further due to the small A/R which will create a lot more extra heat and yes more power but how much more is yet to be seen. I think 300 rwkw is a realistic goal and am pretty confident you will see it as long as your bottom end holds up to the strain ( it is stock still isnt it?)

I like different too, go against the grain :D :D

hey jono, maybe you should get a fuel pressure regulator? or check your fuel pump, stock injectors can usually go past that without leaning out.
    nice list anyway man.

ontopic: everything said here is pretty good, will be pretty tough to get there at zductives price though! lol, how did you manage to not find anything in search? i know its been covered over 20-30 times, even post by me once... about 2 years ago or so.

250 id go fmic/bigger sides, boost controller, zorst, pods, tune, could probably get there without dumps, if you fall short whack a under drive pulley on there.

open exhaust set you back ~600, sides/front 600 on special 800 not, boost controller; say 50, pod 100, cheap tune 600, underdrive pulley 250... about 2500 not bad reallly considering most turbo cars need a new turbo and support to pump out that kinda power. and we still have a bucket load more to come! dumps/lightweight fly/better tune(or standalone)/dual intake/bigger injectors/bigger turbos/meth water/ nos/ intercoolerspray/cams/race fuel;)

note they were all power, if you do them without your internals/a rebuild... good luck to you!
