if it say you can get any type of breaking system ,, well then why don't we go for the dba 4000 or the 5000... just asking???????
it was goot thinking tho ok what im going to do is go in now and see what i can do.... what if they tell me no , we cant do it .. what should i say to that.....
Placed my order @ the Arncliffe shop. They didn't seem to like it. The manager tried 3 different suppliers for the rotors, and got the same unfortunate response. January next year was the given eta. I've only ordered the fronts for now (for TT.) I'll hassle them again tomorrow for the rears. The pad on offer is apparently the successor of the ultimates... supposedly better. Why are you guys insisting on the ultimates?
best thing is probably who ever from here has already orderred some to note here which shop you got them from, so if another shop doesnt do it, you can argue to call them to proove it and also call head management etc...they have it advertised, they have to do it.
Alright... i just went down to supercheap and apart from getting some red neck hill billy "use wd40 and clag glue" idiot. They managed, after about 30 mins, to tell me that the dba 908's for the rear are actually $138 each. And dba 907sl and 907sr are $250 each... :bash: Has anyone else had any luck buying and getting any rotors on order/supply for your early model (89 - 92 model N.A) ? Bargins and Fairlady dont usually go hand in hand.
probably because they have never had them or drive like old ladies or both ,i have them and most people will agree ultimates are a brake dust nightmare :bash: :bash:
Yeah, I had ultimates way back. I'm currently running ferodos 'cause my rims couldn't handle the grit.
WOOT WOOT Yeah it seemed that way here in Dubbo NSW. The locals at Supercheap didn't want to do the deal. Ill have to go down and hassel them for it! The special finishes on Friday , so GET IN NOW Make a bargin :zlove:
Bastard you did well.. They were trying to get out of it at my local because they dont make our pads in the Ultra Premium. Anyone else wishing to do this should do it right now cos it will go up in smoke real fast.
Agreed chad So warwick done it apprently: I say we drain them for all there worth. $500 slotted front and rear rotors with kicka$% pads :zlove: Why the hell not? :zlove:
ok ive sussed this out, they are saying that the ultra premium pads dont come in for the 300zx, as stu has mentioned. now kaos Z has been able to get the rotors with the ultimate pads. this girl has done it from her own will... here in my local dandenong store in they would not budge. just speaking on the phone by the way. anyhow sounds like the only way anyone else around aust would get this deal is complain to head office that warwick shop got it... but then again kaos Z might not get his deal then and the girl may be fired lol...
Has anyone been to any of the Perth supercheap stores to order these rotors and pads, if so which one as I'll be heading that way.
I took a careful look at my order receipt, and it actually lists db1170gct. I called SC up, and they said that the gct's were essentially the same ultras. I'll do my research tonight, get an answer by tomorrow morning, and hassle SC till tomorrow evening. edit: gct's are general purpose pads I'll have this rectified by tomorrow evening.
When I went in they said it was for store stock only. I said thats bullshit it doesnt say anything about store stock in the catalog. Anyways turns out the Area Manager for Vic/Tas was in the store I was at and he was right into it calling head office to find out what was going on..
You might cut your nose off to spite your face with that one. They will probably cancel your order. Let me know how you go either way
she wouldn't do it at first. she had to ring a few people & ended up calling her area manager for adavice. no didn't rant or rave just pointed out that it was there mistake & they should honor it. the add dose say that the pads are ultra premium, but she admited that they are the same as ultimates just only made for s/cheap, therefor cheaper. maybe in small towns shop managers are a bit more inclined to be fleixable when dealing with customers.
i went and order 2 sets just then i got a set for my 300zx and a set for s15 2001, so hopefully i get then on soon ,,
