Could be a very good opportunity to upgrade your rotors and pads :zlove:, my mate put me onto it... i'm yet to test it myself so if it all turns out to be BS don't shoot the messenger Their mistake is your gain Just checked the online catalogue myself and its there for all to see on page 15... a pair of slotted DBA's and Bendix Ultra Premiums for an advertised $250... catalog
GB anyone? :zlove: Seriously, that looks too good to be true, mind u its in black n white, its advertised, could get done for false advertising if they dont honour the deal, but will prob use the common phrase "oh sorry were out of stock sir" kinda comment to cover their backs im guessing
That's from a guy on the laser forum... so you could just order the correct size and demand to pay only $250 i suppose.
Its ANY "DBA Slotted" rotor from the DBA catalog apparently. Pity the GTR (324mm) rotors only come in DBA4000 or DBA5000. In any case I will be paying SuperCheap a visit tomorrow. I would like some slotted Rears
i cant find any information on the ultra premuim pads on the bendix website? any1 know how these perform agaisnt the ultimates? im guessing the dba rotors are better than rda rotors? X2 with renzed any mods needed to fit dba? or just straight on??? is there point upgrading from front rda's to these dba's ?
Bendix Ultra Premium pads are manuafactured exclusive to SuperCheap which is why they arent on the Bendix Website. Aparently a Ceramic Pad. the DBA 909 (Front) and 908 (Rear) are Slotted replacements for the Stock Rotors. For Twin Turbo.. I think NA fronts are 907's ???
Oh boy! Cheap cheap stuff! Which combo do you reckon would best suit the Z (from parts available in that catalogue) ?
whats a good size to get for the zed? i got no clue about brakes might get a pair incase i keep the zed
ahh yes ive heard ceramic ones are good as they tend to be less dustier? these were the ones someone was telling me to get once i need to change my ultimates. thanx for the info stu do u think its worth the upgrade to the dba's than the rda's i got on now? how much better are the dba's? do you know what makes them better
i think they are the pads pex was saying are virtually brake dust free ,better than the crappy bendix ultimates im running (they should be renamed bendix ultimate brake dust pads ):bash: :bash:
the DBA 909 (Front) and 908 (Rear) are Slotted replacements for the Stock Rotors. Edit.. This is for Twin Turbos. NA is a bit confusing on the catalog... I think its 907 for Fronts Dunno about Rears. I wont be held responsible for messing that up I dont have an NA...
DBA made in Australia, RDA made in China or something. I dont think it would be worth changing unless theres something wrong with your RDA's. Now before everyone goes silly over this, Caz does RDA 909's and 908's Slotted for $210 a pair not including pads, im not sure how much those Ultra Premium pads are worth.. . and Standard Rotors are $137 So she might be cheaper if youre local to her.
everybody, please be aware that the early model na uses a thinner front rotor than the tt's, i beleive its a dba907 but double check with the counter staff the ones you want for the tt z are dba909sr slotted right & dba909sl slotted left if you change this number to a dba909x it becomes a cross drilled rotor this holds true across pretty much all the dba range excluding the high end gear like 4000 series etc etc
my car is basically an 89 NA so i need thinner front rotors? dba907sr dba907sl anddd for rears? or are the rears different aswell? dba909sr & dba909sl
rears are dba908's,same for tt and na fronts for your car are the thinner rotors, so dba 907sr/sl but like i said, please double check that with the dba catalogue or the staff 909's are defiantely tt or late series 2 or later na , not early na the difference is in the caliper, tts have wider spacing on the inside of the front caliper so if you tryed to fit the tt discs to a na (with the skinnier calipers),they just wont fit properly,if at all
Ok I just got back from Supercheap.. They are gonna order them in for me..but there was a bit of confusion with the NA rotors..so i'll have to go back tomorrow or before the sale ends..so hopefully someone can help me.. According to them the DBA907s are standard NA rotors...But I want the slotted ones..And it seems they don't have the slotted ones for NAs? cherryZ: Are you able to have a look in the book at work for me? Also regarding the brake pads..they only seem to have the Z31 turbo or Z32 turbo ones listed..no NA again..Does this mean I can't get them..cause poo if I can't lol
