Have to side with Ugame here, Remember that American black TT that sold on US Ebay? It was an immaculate (3,xxx miles!) manual, completely stock zed that looked like it had never been driven since leaving factory and was kept on some kind of stand in some kind of ventilated room / garage. If I recall correctly, it had a LOT of bids and ended up going for 34 or 35 thousand US! That's probably close to if not more what they were sold at when new over there. That car was completely stock and looked like it had never been driven - it could easily be used for brochures; it was that clean. I don't think mods add value to these cars; if you want a very quick car, you could buy an ex-race VL or an rx-7. As far as locally, the closest thing to that American zed is a red TT that was sold on here about a year and a half ago; it was also completely stock, with something like 30,xxx kms on it, and for once they looked genuine: the car was amazingly clean inside out, even the dash hadn't lost any colour. I think the seller wanted $18k and sold for $15? -Kirill -Kirill
i dont care if the z32 will be a collectors item or not, i still think that there is a point that the value of an exceptional zed should not drop to. a car that somebody bought for 15k and spent 40k on should still be worth 20k
My mate fetched 18k for his Z32 TT which appears to be the magic number for a mint example. Although it had around 20k+ dropped into the motor. It was a beast, I knew the pleb he sold it to would mess it up though. It was too much car for him and he put it into a fence within 6 months. The primary thing with resell value is how well the car is maintained and if it's a desirable model or not. If the 100k service is right around the corner that'll deter alot of people. If its an automatic NA with stickers plastered all over it, that's simply not desirable to anyone. Your best bet to get around the 12-15k mark is to have an unmolestered stock example imo.
I think he's referring to a mint condish, 5 speed turbo as opposed to 98% of ones you find on auzzie ebay which are clapped out NA auto Z31's
Yeah...That. NA autos are teh suck; Z31s and Z32s alike. Might aswell drive a tractor. Bad example Z's hurt the value for all. Exclusivity is the key, but at the end of the day a cars only worth what someone will pay for it (or what the insurance compay will cover you for if you wrapped it around a tree! lol)
What are you talking about...it is a religion... As far as I'm concerned I plan to never sell my zed, I wanna drive it forever..yes I'm sure one day I'll have a family..so what, I'll just buy a family car and keep the zed ...we ALL know we're never gonna get our money back, so what can you do? Answer - keep it ... Anyways, Chad I reckon you should have the price for sale for no more the $15,000...
This car here is a 2 seater 300ZR 5 speed manual. The 300ZR has the VG30DE. It is currently on the Yahoo auctions in Japan for $13k. I wasn't talking about the clapped out pieces of shit you see on ebay in Australia. I'm talking about late model Z31's that stand out.
There was a 300ZR for sale here in Aus not that long ago, it went for 10k I believe which is a good price. I nearly bought it but then I realized I have no room to park the Z's I have let alone buy more. The JDM VG30DE is a wicked strong engine when turbo'd too, that's what Ceasar Febus ran his 7 sec quarter in! Rare as! You need that front lip for yours! Looks pr0n...
Same here, regrettably bought my z without rwc (big in canberra too - need them to transfer ownership). Wasnt hit too bad, just $700 for new mufflers.
