Well, the way this is looking, I'm going to have to pull out, ask for my deposit back and go buy one of caz's gfb pulleys - I can't really afford to wait much longer without actually KNOWING what's going on!

Have you contacted UAS with your query? You can't expect john or anyone else at UAS will be watching every post on the forum. Give them a call 0296348000 I'm sure they'll be more than happy to tell you where it's up to.

Thats a fair comment Rob but if you are organising a group buy you should at least reply to the posted thread everyone once in a while. I can see where these members are coming from and also understand the position due to the recent events so if its not going to happen maybe it should be delayed until the new year as nothing will get done until then anyway due to the suppliers christmas break etc.

    Just a thought

Based on Jason's weighing of the stock HB

and JP mentioning this product would be about 40% of the stock HB's weight, then you shouls expect about 3.7 KG.

i agree with zx2nv if you start a GB you should monitor it some info posted from john himself would be nice as it has been almost 2 months without info on this GB
i do appreciate the updates from rob but rob shouldn't have to go out of his way to let us know what's happening
and yes i have all the parts i need to finish the car
and i cannot use the old balancer as it has 2 rather large chunks taken out of it
    damn butter fingers :p

    cheers

JP has no idea how much it weighs, he first said it may only be slightly lighter than stock, so where did this 40% figure come from?

I want exact details of what I buy, not bullshit details, I would expect the rest would think the same.

How can you sell a lightened pulley without giving the weight? Bad customer service if you ask me.

I spoke to john and cannot get a refund:(
and we all will have to wait till February sometime to get our pulleys due to Christmas shutdown
but the good news is we have 10 in the GB

this seems too much like the Air guide GB

Cheers for the offer zx2nv i will borrow one from a friend here in Adelaide but my main quarrel now is having to pull out all the crap to get to the balancer again:mad:

That sucks, it will be a shame if it isn't much lighter than stock as the money could have been better spent.

Due to taking a while to get enough to roll and those who said they wanted taking a while to actually put their money down it has delayed this project. In fact we are short so I am covering the short fall to make it happen to get the ten.
I spoke to Ben today from Ross Balancers and he said won't happen this year which has all but run out anyway and they are closed for first few weeks of next year so looking like February.

It will be worth the wait especially for those building big hp zed motors, just ask your motor.

Method until it is actually made it is only a professional educated guess from specialist supplier. They are by far the biggest and best in Australi for this item and have the score on the board with big hp drag cars using it. I have researched and believe it is the best option and yes I investigated ATI USA version also.

Weight is not everything though and yes it will be lighter than stock but with big hp they need to be heavier to asbsorb resonance. ATI do same as they have a 600hp version and 1000 plus HP version which is basically same although heavier. Strength is another isssue as factory ones are not only ? when it comes to handling the revs and fast acceleration fo big hp but also often old and can and do let go.

Do you have a link or know where I can buy the ATI one? I really can't wait until Feb. If worse comes to worse i'll just use stock, I haven't heard of them falling apart and they would be fine for big HP engines as some big hp engines are running solid ones with no dramas, so a stock one would be fine.

If you can give us a link to the ATI one that would be great.

    Questions ??

I can probably get 10-15 off these sold over in the USA.

What would be a bulk price ?

is this an underdrive pulley or harmonic dampner ?

post here or send me a PM / email - I am definitely interested

    Its both

TDZ, its supposed to be lighter (I hear 40% lighter than stock, but who knows!) and its is a harmonic dampner which is good! If you want bulk speak to John @ Uas,check this link. Good luck!

I have just landed my Unorthodox racing pulley kit to sub in as this is taking waaaay too long for no real update on the delivery time. The numbers have been met, the money transfered, where is the product?

A harmonic balancer is the preferred option by a long way, at least drop an update regarding this John.

    You wont be

disappointed with the unorthodox kit, I have it on my engine, not a hint off vibration.

Only problem seems to be te Power steering belt is way too short. I put the biggest one on the Alt, but the next one down doesn't even come close to fitting on the Power steering. Anyone know what actual size it needs to be? (192 supplied)
