They have finally arrived

They look real good and top quality finish. So send your final payment asap, especially for those who needed them urgent. I will load pics soon. Will dummy fit to a motor to work out belt sizes. May be able to get the new gates blue stronger drive belts although limited range of these.

 

I paid mine in full already John, so when you have the belts, send away please.

BTW are you talking about blue fan/alt/AC belts? That would be cool if you could get some of those.

How much do they weigh?

 

I haven't taken delivery of mine as yet, but they weigh in at 4.4-4.5kg(or around 2/3rd the weight of a stock H/balancer, just as JP stated earlier).

 

Had a look

At these this morning, certainly look the goods and very professionaly made.
blue with white 360 degree markings.
At 4.57kg a big improvement over the stock one.

How much do you want them to weigh?? What is a good weight for them?

Yes DUB drive belts working on this with motor on stand and fitting accessories.

Did not reach the ten but as I said I still ran with it and I have sucked up the last few that we were short so yes will do for price of 10 bulk order.

They have a nice annodised finish and have 360 degree markings, which will be good for timing and dialing in cams etc.

 

Gday, sorry i came into this at the arse end of it so it seems. On my NA i was planning just 3 mods in the meantime (filter, extractors and ofcourse the UD pully).

Would it be worth me getting this balanced item over the standard UD pully? At the cost is it worthwhile.. or is it more of a TT high HP requirement?

These were supposed to be ordered SILVER.

Could you clear this up?

To clarify those who put their hand up and paid deposit get them for $450. I don't want to start a precedence and geopodise any future group buys from us or others. Those who put their money down and wait get the 10 deal price.

Yes silver would be safer as more neutral for the colour conscious although hard to see when installed in car unless have thermo fan. I think silver would have been a prob with markings. There was some discussion at the time of ordering and most were not worried and blue is more popular than red which was the other option.

I have the measurements and weights.

Stock
Weight my digital scales only tgo up to 6kg and was over this and human scales showed around 6.2kg. Basic timing marks.

Sizes are OD of pulley where outer belt runs for power steering beign the outer one 100mm
Middle AC 150mm
Inner Alternator and fan 150mm

UAS Weight 4.57 kg Two piece with vulcanised rubber to absorb resonance from crank and 360 degree marks. Slightly under driven.

Outer 90mm
Middle 140mm
Inner 140mm

GFB and Unorthodox Racing.

870 grams basic timing marks, under driven.

Outer 75mm
Middle 120mm
Inner 120mm

Again re weight we could have made them lighter but at the sacrifice of resonance absorption, and with most wanting this item having big hp it is not a good idea. Looks and stickers don't make power. Vibration robs power also.

For those who want to under drive more for big revs and track use then we have UAS Zed Greddy Oversized alloy pulleys. This is what I will be running on the Slot Car and will match belt sizes for.

 

I have no clutch fan or shroud, just a thermo. You asked for colours and I answered Silver, ZX2NV stated silver, you stated they will be SILVER.

All my pulley's are BILLET SILVER and I wan't my pulley in SILVER as originally ordered. Nothing else.

Spot on Brad does say silver (see above), could always pull it apart and get it powdercoated or sprayed again I would have preferred silver too screw seeing the marks just put a bit of highlighter on the ones that matter and all good.

 

Well

It is annodised and looks flash which seems to go.

For a NA power wise stuff all difference, and should absorbe resonance better than stock balancer, slightly under driven and about a third lighter, with NO side effects of added vibration. Some notice and others don't with one peice light weight pulleys, which are not balancers like this one is.

 

Belts

We dummy fitted the harmonic balancer to engien on a stand and fitted drive belts and found sizes are same as factory ZTT and adjusters sit around middle, so can go 5 or 10 mm longer or shorter. I will order a batch for GB. I also have some blue high strength ones coming this week although limited range so will see. CAN'T get any other colour accept black or BLUE drive belts and blue is maybe at this point.
So let me know if you still want belts as yours may be OK and if in doubt change them anyway as they don't cost mutch and will need to remove and refit anyway?? I will see if can get size required in blue and price if can. Also does everyone have twin power steering TT pump which takes 4pk belt or some have 3pk single power steering pump??

Can't get in silver as etching will not show up and cannot be pulled apart as vulcanised rubber bonded two pieces of metal together. I thought I mentioned the car will never know what colour we get and will try for silver but cannot. So if you stipulated silver and if can't get then option is to stay with factory black harmonic balancer or bearing vibrating silver one piece alloy then we will refund deposit and sell to someone else, let me know.

ZX2NV I hope you are joking re advice given here in order of the mightly bling look?? I must change my thinking as I am into function way more than looks especially with critical things like engine parts. They are not pink after all and keep in mind if getting lighter and larger alloy pulleys later on they will match as only in blue unless you want to do a group buy on these and I can organise in annodised silver I take it??

Hey it wasnt me Brad (DUB) questioned the colour as he percieved the colour choice was chosen as silver as indicated by you in the above quoted post where it states colour will be silver. I posted a while back that the colour didnt bother me and indicated blue silver or even machined alloy etc with no powdercoat etc. Jp I think Brad has the issue for his car as he has a real blingy engine bay in his show car and the blue will obviously look out of place so I think thats why he mentioned it and brought up the topic of the colour.

I dont mind either way as already stated and if there are any left or cancellations let me know and I will grab one.
