Ross's excellent reputation

Its almost a given that the Ross item will be better than stock in all ways, they have an excellent reputation for delivering a quality product that works. And at $450 its a bargain.

 

I know what you are saying, but why replace the stock item, which works perfectly fine for another item which would be a copy of it but just in anodized aluminium which weighs almost the same?

Simple it is stronger for high revving fast revving big hp applications they won't fail, as in come apart, also under driven for slight power increase and slow down water pump to help prevent cavitation, slow down power steering to prevent getting hot and robbing slight power and similar for alternator. Also it is a bit lighter but probably only a few kg and will absorb resonance as well or probably better than factory one and WAY better than a light weight lump of alloy that absorbs next to nothing. Also as mentioned ANDRA approved for safety and required for cars under 11 seconds.
Method as you are going big hp you should get one. No stickers or much bling but could be very important to your motor and making power especially long term.

Weight comparison????

Does anyone.......JP or other members who are purchasing one already??...... have any definite figures yet for the total weight comparison between this Ross Racing Pulley & the standard factory one????? CheerZ

 

I weighed my factory balancer today on electronic refrigerant scales that are calibrated every 3 months last done about 6 weeks ago and my balancer weighed in at 6.24kgs for anyone that is interested.

 

Not so much closing date

More so limited run of ten and need ten to roll and might miss out as limited number. Still waitng for some who put their hand up to send us order form for half payment.

I have just paid mine via direct deposit and i will fax the order form tomorrow

I spoke to JP today re: Harmonic Balancer Pulley G/B progress.
As most would appreciate, the recent events (fire) which severely disrupted UAS operations, has also affected this G/B to some extent. What is needed to get this moving to a satisfactory conclusion, is for a few (3-4) people to pay their promised deposits (so far only six have done so).
So come on guys, the sooner the deposits are in, the sooner we will all get these beaut looking pulleys.

 

Can we get an exact weight? I may have missed it but I can't find the thread which says its exact weight. I don't see the point in changing the factory one if it's only going to be 1-2kg lighter. I doubt any difference would be noticed in vibration, performance etc with only a saving like that.

It would be good to have exact details of a product we are buying, not just "RB26 benefits are this and that" or "it will damper better than stock but we have no proof of this".

I need this atm as I have the front of the motor apart replacing the timing belt.

Would be great to know when the delivery date would be John. I don't want to have to put it all back together just to pull it apart again when the belts and balancer comes along.

its the 4-12 06, nah! at lest another 3-4 months. And whats a fire got to do with it? Are they makeing them at the uas show rooms? i think not.
