Manual steering rack Pick up a maunual steering rack this week. Its supposed to be from a Skyline R31 Done a temp install and test. Need to sort out the rod ends and mountings. Found the National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (NCOP) on the internet so I should be able to work out what mod are legal
Engine & gearbox I got the engine & gearbox back in the car today. Only had to remove the steering rack to get it in, only just though So much easier with the lift brackets I knocked up and proper lifting gear
New year and Mr Cockup as arrived Back off holiday, back into the rebuild and I found a big problem. The clutch master cylinder ain't going to fit Any one got any good ideas how to fix this problem
Ran into the same problem with my vh45 conversion in my s13. Use a reverse mount pedal setup of a toyota hiace van. Needs some modding but it works.
Did you check the bore and stroke of that master? If it does not displace very close to the same amount of fluid as the stock cylinder at full stroke, you will have slave travel issues.
I was wondering about that... I know the S13 LS1 conversion guys have to change to a bigger master to get the T56 hydraulic throwout bearing to work.
I'm using a Tilton centertic slave cylinder in place a standard slave cylinder I did my maths and it works out that I will get sufficient travel from the slave cylinder
