i was up in noosa this morning and went through a chicane intersection, back slid out and before i knew it, i hit a tree. all 3 of us walked away. Only one had a cut on his throat. i almost broke my nose, bent the steering wheel with my head. we are all blessed that our injuries are so small. the chassis is bent and the suspension stuffed. i'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but remember NO MATTER how skilled a driver you are, you CANNOT avoid an accident! i had absolutely no time in which to react. If you try to get your zed sideways or loose traction on a public road, shame on you. i completely underestimated the power of my car and hope that everyone will take more care!
Oh BUGGER So sorry to hear ... at least you're OK. I trust insurance cover is adequate and you'll be back Zedding again soon. Your SIG says it all, unfortunately wrong time & place, eh?
That's not good Edit: question retracted. If I did that to my Z, I won't be in the mood to justify my actions. Glad you all walked away
What can I say... so sorry to see your Z like that. Very pleased that everyone walked away with minor injuries. I hope the insurance will work out for you. Cliff
RE - Wrote of My Zed today Bad news man. Sorry to hear the news. Good that you were all relatively uninjured tho. I agree with you, we need to respect the power that the Zed has and how best to handle it. Track work and defensive driving courses are the go. Again, sorry to hear about your loss. As K-zed says, hope you can claim on the Ins. and get back into a Zed real soon. Just like falling off a horse, got to get back on as quick as poss. to keep the confidence and self exteem up
Re: Sorry to hear and see that mate. Glad your all ok. Likewise as all the people above, Good to see you all walked away.
Bugger ...like others said, good to hear everyones ok. However, I disagree, you can avoid accidents based on your driving ability and limits. On the street the abilities have to be greater and the limits lower; unfortunately you found out what happens when ability and limits have been surpassed. Sorry to hear about it and your lack of insurance. Least you can walk away and buy another zed.
In that case you should consider parting it out shouldn't be a problem getting most of it sold on the forum. All the best. Cliff
No insurance, thats gotta hurt But dude, you're alive! If you hit that tree sideways you'd probably be dead or driving wheelchairs for the rest of your life. As bummed as you must feel, try to look at the positive side.
i dont have anywhere to keep her... but might post her in the for sale section as a whole car wreck soon
yes do you live up that way? saw 2 zeds drivin round that area..... the tree is quite scarred but still standing strong:angry:
Thank god your all good... It means the Z is kinda safe... Keep your chin up mate Your kinda lucky to tell the tail. Youll be back on the scene in no Time Buddy. Cheers Frank
