Yer I topped mine out a few times and I also did it once with the targas of and broke ma wind deflectors lol Luck my rear window didn blow out
not that quick dude! but i have hit 7k in 5th.. which is what.. 270-280? ah yeah rollin just said it, but i'm running on 18's, will that add many km's to the total? i will add, ive been upto 6500ish a few times.. the car feels like it's doing 100kmph.. awsomely stable.. thanks to john travolta goes out for lending me his air strip.
304kph according to speedo, so 300kph unverified. GPS verified 284kph (learnt then that speedo reading 4kph fast). 7200rpm in 5th gear. For Luis's reference, this was quite some time ago and not on its current motor!
this all begs 2 questions.... 1) why is the stock speedo 180kph 2) Why does my wifes excel speedo go to 220 or something lol
because japanese cars are all limited to 180KPH via the ECU from factory. they didn't see the need for the speedo to read higher.
i think it was also part of the gentlemens agreement.... the one where no car could come out with more than 300hp but dont quote me lol
it was initially around that... manual Z32s came with 300HP and so did some 2JZ supras. Officially it's 280PS (some weird rating the japs use) which is 276HP. 1 pferdestarke = 0.9863201 horsepower [international] these gentlemens agreements are now all over though so japan can make cars like the new GTR that competes with supercars stock from the factory
