The JUN-BLITZ Bonneville Z32 holds the speed record of 419.84 km/h set at the 1995 Bonneville Speed Trial.
True Thats when my falcon hit 200kph coming over a ridge. The downhill tipped it over, and then the limited grabbed it back and the engine pulled her back to 180 I was silly back then. Thats why i haven't been as fast in the zed. Im lucky enough to learn my lesson the easy way..... couple of small fines showed me that yes you CAN and WILL get caught, and I best stop before i get caught with a big one.
there u go 184km/h which is a tad over 50 metres per second when i said springs before, i was refering to in the speedo. the spring in the cluster is not perfectly reflective of the true speed. if you get an aftermarket electric speedo installed they solder it to your ecu, now why would people bother with it if the stock 'physical' cluster is 100% accurate?? however if you get larger rims and other things, then your speedo will be out of course
wrong unless your going downhill. by the laws of physics you cant accelerate if there isnt a force propelling you forward, this been the friction between the tyres and road, a result of the engine delivering power when the ecu senses that the cars speed is at 184km/h it cuts out and the engine makes no more power, so unless your going downhill you will decelerate until the ecu reverses the cut... can anyone elaborate
i was referring to this topic in general, and it always happens not all zed owners have these cars to go as fast as possible and there have been numerous nasty z crashes in the last few years that i have been a member
dude i meant the springs in the speedo using such things it is impossible to get a perfect reading due to many things off the top of my head though: 1. loss of energy (heat and sound are generally a by product of most activities) 2. items are imperfect, for example the spring will have varying resistances to 'stretching' and 'contracting' at different strains. of course nissan engineer around these variables to make them as accurate as possible over the whole range of speeds.
184km/h was the fastest in my zed due to speed limiter - allthough at that speed they still feel really stable
I didnt say anything about the time it takes to get there, the topic isn't about the fastest acceleration now is it?
Yeah it is, meaning a stock car is capable of those speeds and you wont break anything by going that fast. Infact it doesn't even feel that fast at all, that's the scarey part. Hitting 200kmph+ is cake on a stock car. Some cars will fall to bits at those speeds, or feel like you're going 500kmph because the whole thing is shaking like the wheels are about to come off. Z cars feel super stable at high speeds, aerodynamics ftw!
Ive done 6500 rpm in 5th which is 265- 270 . I think mafi-zed has gone to 7000 in fith which is 285 or so
Ive only hit 150 in my zed, not many places you can just punch it hard around here without breaking the law
