Can so. Well to a certain extent. My point was it's pointless to compare modified cars cause you're not playing on a level field. Things like money and expertise start to come into it.
I think in general with Platform A documented to be quicker than Platform B, Platform A wins for now even if the owners of Platform B dont have their shit together yet! lol

What about the Gas Motorsport Camry? That runs 6's! So we should all sell our Z's and Soarers because someone made a camry the fastest sports compact in the world? I raced a stock engined TT Soarer down at Willowbank. He ran a high 13 and I ran a 15.1 (135rwkw NA). I had him on the launch and where equal to half track, after that he pulled in front... There is no way that a soarer could handle better than a Z (both with suspension in good condition) Through the mountains I can keep up with GTR's, S13's and JZA80's, which are all considered to be well handling cars, without any hassles. Air bag suspension and open diffs don't make for well handling cars, sure the TT's came with 'proper' suspension and the manuals came with LSD's, they where only ever designed to be a cruiser.
If you want a fast Toyota that isn't a Supra then sure, even though they both have the 2JZ and that Camry is a fully drag prepped tube chassis car lol It's about as much of a Camry as my can of coke here is.
just out of curiosity, which would be faster etc.? my NA Z.....just 2.5inch x-pipes with 4 inch cannons and a pod filter or my freinds NA soarer....which has a 3 ltr supra engine
then just calcuate kw @ vs your weight vs his.. then add maybe 5kw @ fly from your exhaust, take your diff ratios and manual vs auto into account.. can only come to a logical answer without actually going head to head..
Just to let you know i was a memeber of soarer central a little before i was on here...... have to say the mods were gay and i even posted on here in regards to the matter.....long story short they were having a go at a newbie about her add and how you have to be an established member to do that......they had some problem in trying to show how powerful they are coz there mods.......so anyways i just sed that i didnt see the point of such restriction as it just creates unwanted posts, and its in the communities best interest to see whats on the market......... i think it was a mod called nick or something.....anyways they are fags on there... hence why i have been on here like 99%....i didnt even know who the mods where on here, they are a quite bunch...lol
