I really don't understand why the comparison of the Zed and the Soarer. They are not at all the same type of car. There are similarities like 2door coupe, great price, turbo etc. Zed vs Supra is more appropriate but that has also been debated to death. The Soarer is not built to be a sports car. It's a cruiser, used to be called Grand Tourismo in the old days. As has been pointed out it is heavier. All that padding and electronics weigh a bit, and there is lot of it. My stock V8 Soarer will outsprint a stock NA zed, but then I have 4l vs 3l. It is not a sportscar, but a pretty good daily driver for battling Sydney traffic. If you want a well handling sports car, don't buy a Soarer.

mine is a manual, and it can hit about 115 like most manual cars. i shift at 6k because it's what i feel like shifting at.. i challange you to make a speedo video and record your acceleration shifting at 6k.. race warz brah! my engine is also un opened like yours

LOL. Funny when its the other way around now isnt it boys? Remember earlier this year, on the perthwrx.com forums, some poor remarks were made about the 300zx. Several aus300 members joined the wrx forums to try and educate them about the true qualities of the Z. They were all just flamed, the thread degenerated into name calling and was locked. We were all left thinking "what dickheads, they dont even listen to reason, apparently 1/4 mile times mean nothing to them, power figures mean nothing to them, as all they are saying is lalalalalaala your 300zx's are crap". Well now it is the other way around. If we have video footage of this soarer beating a much lighter rx7, and dyno sheets, why all the hate? I mean yes, obviously a car that puts out 206kw at the engine can't put out 220rwkw without upping the boost. A cooler and breathing mods alone will not give that kind of a gain, but there may be something that he doesnt know? Perhaps the previous owner increased the boost? Or maybe this is just one of the antilag/perthwrx forum troublemakers trying to troll us for some fun Honestly I quite like the soarer as a cruiser. It is a little big to be considered a "sports car", but it is still a nice car nonetheless.

I am sorry but no amount of money could turn a soarer into this Street cred hotness right there. Oh yes and check out the specs on my sig all from a stock engine/turbocharged car. Come over here and line up your soarer anyday one things for sure all you see is my taillights through your binoculars dude. dude i swear to u, that interior doesnt even match the stock interior of the zx. our dash is so much sleeker, and our seats look way better. that looks like a fake penis with seat belts

Ha ha you are quite the come back king aren't you. The wing actually helps keep the car straight at 240 odd kph plus on the track. Its called downforce or havent you heard of that before, oh yeah I dont think that was mentioned in your bible the fast and the furious movies. Oh yeah the soarers are probably a nice touring car as Stefan mentioned its just tools like you who buy em and cant keep there mouths shut that degrade the overall view of all soarer owners (except for you Stef of course you have a zed too ) Whats the addy for the soarer forum soarer central or something, might jump on there and bag the soarer out a bit for the fun of it seems to be the IN thing to do of late.
