haahahha trav funniest thing i have seen all day avenish how much boost does the soarer run stock? soarers are a nice car.. my sister's bf has a v8 soarer with just a pod filter. very nice interior and comfy but they are slugs. Even the TT's are slugs until you put a shitload of $ in them. to me a soarer is to a supra what a z31 is to a z32

Secondly when was the last time ANYONE saw a soarer on the track and doing laps of some racetrack, areodynamics are not its strong point, i guess thats what happens when it looks and handles like a shoebox.... Thirdly when was the last time ANYONE saw a soarer in a internationally renowned car show!, but hey put ur heavily kitted soarer in a show and it looks like every joe blows soarer out there, lack of variations really kill this "show car" For the record i have nothing against the soarer, was quite diplomatic in my first post saying it was ok and would compete well with the Z32, BUT as soon as u start flaming it with "overheating" issues, which is a pile of bullshit anyways then everyone gets upset.. But hell, this may seem a little unfiar to u all of us flaming the s**t out of u, what is your website/forum and we'll gladly run this debate over on "your turf" so to speak, lets see if everyone has your view on the Z32
I like the soarer. I definitely wouldn't mind one sitting in the garage keeping the Z company. It wouldn't be the first thing I'd choose to give the Z company, but it is nice all the same. My mate has plans to build a single turbo 2JZ ~600whp soarer. Can't wait.

mate go check out the soarer forum, im a member there cause i was gonna but one b4 the zx. recently i posted a thread about buying one casue i need a cruise car, not a sports car. the members on there were very helpfull and genuine with there comments. no one bagged anything about the zx, ecept for one guy, then another forum member shut him down. ur a good kid but

I never under estimate any car on the track, however if you are implying I am underestimating your soarer up against my Z, think again my friend. Check out my sig stats. Lowest published 60 foot time for a Z32 in at least Australia and run a 12 second flat quarter mile, not bad for a circuit setup car with hard suspension setup and a stock engine/turbos. lol dammit i had a really nice post all lined up... but the forum was down at the time? bugger. was terrific though... also pointed out when the Z was new it cost 100 000 big ones... how much was a soarer? seriously soarer wasnt even meant to compete with cars in the z32 catagory... oh yeah and jason that is such a awesome shot of your car there ey... looks fantastic.
I'm actually in two minds about the soarer. It's an incredibly well built car, it is incredibly luxurious, but seriously, it's a bit boring Steering is a bit heavy, nowhere near as exact as the zed. You feel it's a heavy car, but it goes when you put your foot down. The air suspension smooths out the pebbles in the road so you sorta float on top, much like a Jag SIII. The wife likes it as it's a Lexus. Other women don't even notice it (but the love the convertible zed) Going to work or sitting in traffic, the soarer is perfect, but on a winding road, the zed is more fun. The Toyota 4l V8 in the soarer is one of the best engines ever made (sorry) and so quiet that even in full flight you can hardly hear it over the radio. Watch out with what you post on soarercentral. If you say something the mods don't like, or if you have the nerve to critizise one of the gods (their mates or sponsors) Peter Perfect will just lock you out, no comments or explanations made. Otherwise the guys and gals there are a great bunch of people, but it is very much run as a dictatorship.

I had a quick read and yeah most seem pretty reasonable and factual with only a few of the typical a mate of a mate had one and it sucked type threads. Seems our mate here runs against the grain not only here but there too. I really pity him but it has been a fun thread dishing out the flame even Greg got in on the action. Z32's owners unite as one yet again to fight for truth justice and the Zed way well done all.
hey stef, yer i started that thread ages ago. still deciding on what to get at the end of the year: 2 seater slicktop, soarer limited or convert my 95 aus spec to turbs with upgrated turbos! ill have 2 c financial position at the end of the year
C'mon, just get one of each. Then you can decide every morning which one you like best. Or even better, get the 2 zeds and a soarer as a backup.
