I like keeping my soarer looking as plain as possible. No badges, plain 16" wheels.

I believe that keeps it safer in the car parks and on the streets. Looks like any old camry or commodore, only 2 doors though

Must be something in the water in Syd!!!

There is no way you would think a Soarer looks like any old Camry or Crummydoor!!!........16" wheels or not!

Hate to say it but Mags get money for advertising.

15.8 is a laughable 1/4 mile time. My 180SX pulled 14.980 with a CA18DET and a cracked head (stock boost, no real mods to mention exept for 3" turbo back and LSD)

"Zed special..... we think your Zed is slooooow and can be beat by a boat with a 1JZ... but dont fear... buy the following items from our sponsor... *cough* erm things we happen to know about, and you'll beat granddads arm chair down the strip in no time"

thats how to run a magazine :D

not saying thats what they WERE doing, but just saying......

    lmfao... 15.8....142rwkw!!!!

    hillarious!

bit harsh comparing a TT to a Na isnt it?

because there is no way a TT zed would run that, but hold on... 142rwkw, seen around that on alot of cars running safety boost:D  such a quality magazine wouldnt miss something like that would they? mind you even on safety boost can run better then 15.8...15.8 is just purely laughable, that or they need to learn to drive....

seriously i dont mind soarers, but their not in the same league as the zed.

comparative to a silvia or 180 or skyline sure...

Mine ran 13.2 while running safety boost maps,

    and boost jets!

I have seen 193rwkw out of a stock zed before in good nick - and no shit! It did similar figures on 2 dynos, There was something wrong with the one they were testing.

first car was a soarer v8......really nice car and would of been crazy at the time they came out with all the gizmos.....

i would have to say though it didnt have enough grunt for my liking but as a crusier goes its kewl....also i didnt feel i was the car, while in the zed i feel like i am.......

you kinda feel your not 100% in control, but then again get yourself in some low speed mess and the traction works great.....lol and yes its fun going around a huge roundabout, planting your foot and see it fishy, especially if ur wearing snow tyres.....

btw i bought it for 12,300 like 2004 with the bbs rims, have to say it turned heads especially when u have L plates on them :p....colour was nice though if it was a little more like aK's zed would looks nicer ......clocked around 50kms more and bbs rims stolen with the $500 rubber each which came with it and i sold it in january this year for 10gran......

Well I dont know about soarer vs ZX, but tonight I wasted a WRX ;) I took off at a leisurely pace, he tried to drag from a rolling start, so I let him have it, I was a full car lenght ahead until 100km/hr, where he gave up :D i should also point out that I could have done him worse, I was only shifting up @ 4500 - 5000rpm  Due to clutch/gearbox problems  Unfortunately when we tried again from the next lights i stalled it :bash:

check out my boat aka soarer racing my mates series 8 rx7 with full exhaust, intake vs my soarer tt auto with exhaust an intercooler got over 220 wkw with just these mods with 180,000km on the odo rx7s series 8s especially i think should beat auto z's easy 270 hp with less then 1250kg stock just to be fare my soarer came without abs rear wipers an electric seats (think its the cheapest model)

i had one of those soarers above and trust me you don't want to take them through the hills, mine had 18s and a few mods on it already. but you will find they feel very heavy. 300zx on the other hand feel much better to drive and don't even feel that heavy if tuned properly.

    my old soarer [IMG]
