Defect Number 2 So on the way home tonight, was done for being too low.. again. This is ever so slightly due to the chassis, and more so due to the center muffler :|. Atleast this time I dont need a full roadworthy, rather just an inspect by VIC roads and a $350 fine! which I didnt get the first time around
Welds broke.. bugger Well today i noticed the zed had a major rattle in the exhaust at 1800 rpm. Got home took a look and sure enough one of the welds had broke lose of the bodge job we did on the muffler. This was causing the piece of steel to flap around and vibrate. Will weld it up again and see how it goes.
Decided I wanted a clock. Since having the Zed, its never had a working clock, other than on the stereo. Last week out of the blue I had an idea to find one and put it in the dash. So onto ebay i went, found one i really liked which included he temp outside and inside, but then i worked out it was too big to fit it where i wanted. So then I found this: Hopefully fits perfectly where i intend to put it
I don't go expensive watch. But I do go skeleton mechanical coz I'm a pimp. What's wrong with the OEM clock for the OEM slot? Sure if it's broken or whatever, but why not get one of them instead of trying to sandwhich some Ebay crap in behind the steering wheel? What's in your OEM slot? My OEM clock is near-useless because it dims when the lights are on, and I always have my lights on. So I can only see it at nighttime. :\
You can stop it dimming if you cut the orange wire from memory, or put it through a switch if you really want so you can dim it at night if you choose.
Cause i no longer have the plug, my gauges are now powered from those wires and when i get my stereo moulded in, i plan on having a small "din" pocket put it to hold my phone and such
