get a auto balance tube, or just blank it off. You might be able to buy a proper blanking cap for it, or youll need the old hose and bolt trick

Yeah, I want to know more about this under plenum wiring business too, is there enough slack in the wires to plug in and un plug the injector connectors and coilpack connectors without having to remove the plenum? Any other problems you foresee?
wires yeah the wires sit under there easy. you just have to strip the wiring loom back, so you can divide the wires to go one either side of the intake.

Lookin good but why didnt you give the engine bay a good clean up before you put the motor back in. It detracts for all the good work on the motor. But all the same nice work
the motor never came out. i took it apart in the car. and left the block, heads and everything below that in.
sucess. well sort of got her started today. very rough and wouldn't idle at first. let her sit a bit and then we got it to idle. had a play around with a few things and still idles rough. but when it is reved to 2000rpm the revs just drop off. and then it will build up to 2000rpm again, then drops off. we had a look around and played with a few things but still did it. anyone got ideas. i got a boost leak tester coming from caz. but any other ideas. also pex, caz, fate and fate parents droped round after fate's court case. it was very nice to see caz and fate again. espically caz. pex was helping me with the engine.
Probably a vaccuum leak somewhere. Check the balance tube, there are a couple of sneaky little tubes there that are easy to miss.
no i copyied another zed engine bay when i did that. it goes fuel filter to dampener. and the fuel reg to return line. doesn't it?
