How are you checking for leaks?

Are you blowing the engine up? Are you spraying joiners with soapy water? Have you checked everywhere, intercoolers etc? If you have a large leak, you should be able to hear it.

    i can hear

it. but it sounds like its coming from both sides of the engine and the back as well.

It would have been faster and less frustrating to pull the motor out I reckon!

    Update

two weeks of hoildays and got some stuff done to the zed. painted the calipers, but of a dodgy job but alright, stainless braked lines installed, tuneagent tension rods install, hard wired the seris 2 ptu in, installed the HICAS lock bar (that was a bitch) and put the throttle covers strip on. Still have to fix boost leak before the end of the week.

    here are some pics.

great work on the engine mate, i've been folowing your thread and am interested in doing something similar while i have my car off the road.

what parts did you have polished and painted.

i know so far you chromed the plenum and the throttle bodies, plus the addition of the chrome hard pipes.
you painted the timing belt covers, the cover going down the center of the plenum and part of the coil pack.

    what else have you done?
i would like to get a list so i know what to research and what i'm in for before i start my 200k service.

also are there chrome hardpipes for N/A's (obviously they would be different but yeah)

    thanks mate.

    okay

number one: only the intake pipes are crome. cause that is the only way i could buy them.

Number 2: no other part has been cromed on my car. it is all polished and painted.

i'll try and get you a full list before the end of the week.
