After a recent thread and some talking to others in regards to Nistune I'm chucking this EOI for a group buy of Nistune daughter boards, software liscence and wideband O2 sensor/loggers.

This is more aimed at the DIY tuner/fiddler than something that you buy to take to be installed and tuned. If you want to do that then you may be best to go directly to a distributor. They get a discounted price and have the software already.

You will also require a conzult cable of some sort to use this. It allows full tuning of the factory ECU via the consult port. So once this is installed you don't have to muck around under the pass side kick panel ever again.

This is what it looks like:

    And installed:

These are the Type 3 boards for '89 to '93ish 8 bit ECU's. If you have a '94 to '96 then you will required the type 4 board which is another $40 RRP or so, if you have a '96+ then, sorry I can't help you :p

There is some minor modifications required to the ECU, practically the same as socketing your ECU, but with the addition of connecting another 4 wires. It's all in the instructions.

Here are some screenshots of the software.

RRP is $200 for the type 2 daughter board
$240 for the type 3 daughter board
$200 for a individual licence of the software (don't be stingy, support a Aussie company!)

Check out the website, and they have a help forum if you have trouble with it. Nistune Site

If you want this for another engine then that is fine, just check out the website and put the corresponding daughterboard down. If you want this for a VH45DE (8 bit only!) then you will also need a emulator as the Nistune can't cope by itself.

For the Widebands I am tending towards the Innovate Motorsport LC1 controller with the XD16 gauge. These are compatible with the Nistune software (according to the Nistune website) RRP is around USD$330 + post. If you want 2 then it will cost twice as much. I'm only going with 1, as I'm a poor uni student :p

So if you are interested chuck yourself on the list. I need name (duh), and what you want (which daughter board type2/type3 and wideband yay/nay and how many 1/2. If this gets off the ground I will need to know the year of your ECU and the part number on it. Once we get some numbers I'll go to Nistune and get some prices.

Hey Chrispy Cat, in the innovate kit it lists the sensor as the BOSCH 5-wire wideband, do we need to buy the innovate kit to be compatible with NISTUNE, or can we just buy the sensor. Cause the sensor is much cheaper, and we can run 2 for about the same price as that kit, and if I can get my AFR's in the NISTUNE software, then I really don't need another guage.

Nope, you don't need that exact kit. There are several widebands that are compatible, it's all on their website. I believe that you need some sort of processor to go with it, you can't just plug the bosch sensor into the laptop.

Something like this would work, just no gauge.

Aren't you saying I need something in addition to the type 2 board or is there such thing as a type 2 emulator?

You need the type 2 board and a emulator. Look at the nistune site.

Sorry I made an error in the above.

Should be Type 2 board for the '89 to '93 and Type 3 for the '94 to '96.

few quick questions as im new to this.
    Work on NA and TT?
could i tune for NA, then in a year rewire into TT ecu and retune for TT
    are wideband/s needed?
and what is involved tuning wise and for someone new to tuning, how difficult would tuning it be??
also same figures be seen as to a microtech/haltech etc?
    cheers

Interested in the software price only. Already have emulator to run with it.

If it's only a marginal saving though I'll be holding off.
