I dont mean to be cruel but some things you just cant fix with a post on the forum.

sometimes u just gotta suck it up and pay someone, when i need financial advice i dont just jump on the net, or if need medical help, why is this any different

Unless you're within 100k of a capital city where Z mechanics thrive or can't afford to fix it, then don't own a Z. :p

As I was trying to say in the last thread, drop everything for now and just concentrate on re wiring new connectors so you have somewhere to start.
Don't argue the point, just buy the things and get someone to solder and heat shrink them. I'm pretty sure you can get connector kits from Caz.

No point flogging a dead horse.

Completly 100% agree with 57ICKY on this one for once. You really need to start at the bottom (replacing all of your connectors) and work up from there.

Good. So we are all in agreement? :)

    Missing realy bad attempt 3

**** if my threads didn't keep getting locked I wouldn't have to make new ones...

Was sitting at work thinking about dad saying the injectors where the problem.?

Then i though, shit, I did just get a new battery.
Maybe they where working a little bit harder and moved some shit around.

Pulled them out and cleaned them, put injector cleaner in my fuel and took it for a strap.

Ran a little better, then i flogged it for a short while, upped the revs and all and it ran good with just a little studder.

Got home and left it to cool then took it to HJ's for a girlfriends going away party, ran nicely.

drove home at like 10pm (Thursday night is "Lappers night")
Some lil XL pulled up, all blinged out and reved its piss poor engine. Couldn't help myself.

Car ran about 130% better than when I first bought it.

Problem was dirty injectors for future searches for people with this problem.
Sept now they are gonna have to sift through 3 different threads (-_-')

NO, I'm not gonna neglect the other problems and suggestions. they are still next on the list.

Thanks for everyone's help, I learned allot.

how the frig did you take the injectors out? Injector cleaner is a bit harsh, be careful with that shit man

Might pay to do a plenum pull soon and clean the injectors properly, much better than that horrible stuff in a bottle. Don't use that stuff too much!

I'm still in shock as to how he got the injectors out in the first place

Had a huge chat to the guy that works at Repco here in Rockhampton, he seemed to know enough about 300zx's that i trusted his decision (he has helped me allot before)
and he recommended a certain type witch was the middle price bracket so i knew he want just ripping me off.

Only using enough of it as he said, don't use too much.

How did you remove the injectors, as you said? I'm curious.

    What? Have a read...

It was that fuel additive stuff, not proper injector cleaning.

found them and worked my way in until i could get them off.

Took me from 4:30 to 7:30 with help from my Dad.

And a plenum pull, clean and bypass is on the list of to do's so i will deff take that opportunity to do whatever it can.

House payments coming in soon so the car will be payed off in full, that gives me an extra $500 a pay to play around with (-_-')

I know, but this is what i read:

 What did he pull out and clean? Injectors were the onto thing i heard reference of.

EDIT: ohhh...you mean the connectors. Isn't that what I said was the problem to begin with? I don't know how you came to the conclusion that it was dirty injectors (as in the actual end thee fuel comes out of that the additive would be cleaning).

Battery terminals is how I read it...

Because I thought that they where dirty and that they weren't giving a nice even spray of fuel, causing the engine to run, but not very well, especially under strain.

Thats what it sounded like to me. was this a wrong diagnosis and i just got lucky? :S And seeing as though i was no longer running rich, A few things lead me to believe my injectors where dirty, so I followed a Tech article and me and dad removed the injectors to clean them, I only cleaned them a little bit, they where kinda grubby but not too bad.

Haven't touched the injector connectors yet, they are still the same. they seemed fine, free of corrosion and all.

You can't really clean injectors by hand. You really need a ultrasonic cleaning machine, same sort of thing they use for cleaning jewellery. Leave it to the proffessionals, it's not that expensive, $100 or so.

Oh well, I figured it out and now my car is running sweet :D
