rwc! Had been given the number of a mobile RWC company who were "very hard to fail with".... after the last 30 mins...i have to agree with that haha. I asked if he had done any 300zx's before and he said yea a few. He did all the normal checks but didnt take the nose panel off! I think he just didnt want to see it haha. An unmounted Pod and 2 BOVs :br: I passed with the only things being wrong are a lose handbrake ill have to tighten up and the front pads are on the verge of being worn out. winner!:zlove: more pics Brake pads ill have to put on soon, SARD FPR too. I Also ordered a full leather interior from Khalid(the supplier for the leather interior GB) and got a pretty good price. 13 piece trim kit and both front seats. Im gonna give it a solid crack myself since i think im a bit of a boss at DIY stuff So that should be fun and provide some good entertainment and pics. Matt.
And here I was thinking that you sold the last zed because you didn't want to stand out at the police academy. When you're one of them, you will never be able to be in the wrong
HDR pic Matt tagged along with me for our ozfoz BBQ on sunday and got a couple nice picture taken of his car at the spit after.
Iv been fiddling with the car and doing little things here and there and have noticed a common trend. The previous owner was a dodgey bastard in terms of wiring He likes to DIY add extensions using the twist wire and electrical wire tape technique (fail). He also wired up some bulbs for the headlights and hacked the slots so now my left headlight is wobbly .. sighhhh. i have a spare but removing the headlight is a PITA. Front bar and guard off is it? He also wired in an extension for the ground that runs through the steering wheel that activates the horn. that tape slipped off and the bare wire connection could touch the housing of the boss kit making the horn activate. In effect, i could have been driving along and have the horn sound for no reason with no way to turn it off..... I fixed it all and put a stock steering wheel back on.... Old wheel which is smaller meaning you have to sit lower to see the 100kmph marker on the cluster. Put the old nice stock leather wheel on.. mmmm yum:zlove: Iv got a set of smoked side markers coming from Dave at GZA and the full leather interior still. Matt.
JDM'd up my rims with international orange. This is my spare stock set. My main ones are staying silver. Why? because i can
that's ****ing awesome! haha love orange rims, I dream of orange t337 track wheels. you did the inner dish too right?
The most recent previous owner Brad, was not responsible for any dodgyness, he was an electrician , he just never got round to fixing alot of the little issues with the car that were there when he bought it.
That makes sense. But how could an electrician be happy driving around with 1 dull headlight and one bright one that were wired in like dogs balls? Doesn't matter...I'll restore it to it's former glory
I like them. I can't explain why though... You should do another set in 'space saver yellow', for lols.
did turn out alright. just doesnt suit the rim.. needs more jdm rim I think.. outta curiousity, what sorta camera did you use to take the photos ofyour car?
Vinyl Roof Bars Finally decided to whip my vinyl out and do the roof bars. took maybe 20 mins. A nice easy thing to knock out of the way. The last of my vinyl I have another little spot i want to vinyl too but thats for later. My Leather arrived yesterday but i missed it so it will be dropped back to my door on monday. Got a new 300kmph Cluster coming too so that if i ever get the chance to max that out ill know (is there anywhere in the country you can legally test top speed?) Matt.
