lol man dont go to nissans there hopless with zx's expecialy TT's Will be interesting to see what those turbos punch out
GO THROUGH CAROLINE/caz1 YOU WILL SAVE MONEY! http://www.cazracing.com just incase you dont have the link to her website Ryan
that knock sensor has a different resistance to the stock sensor so most likely it wont work, I have one but im going to use it with a knock-link
Hypergear, quick question. This thread was about the 320hp rated ATR25 you are supplying. But now, you're not using that exact turbo, but instead using stock Garrett's that have been high flowed. I, personally would be more comfortable if you were using the exact turbo that we could be potentially buying off you, aka, the brand new 320hp ATR25 housings aswell. Obviously you're using the same 320hp rated core in your stockies, but what about housing differences between Garrett's and ATR's? Can you confirm that the new product that we would be buying off you is exactly the same characteristics (core and housings) as the stock high flowed Garrett that you're using?
good question Ben, i would also like to see results for the actual items available for purchase. we all know that the highflowed stock turbo's perform well, ive showed that. Or at least some prices if available to have our old housings fitted with these cores
Housings that we use on the ATR25 is exact to the factory T25. which has .63 rear and .40 Front. It makes no difference to the performance of CHRA. I mentioned in few earlier thread that the factory T25s can be high flowed to the exact spec to any ATR25 profiles. Cost wise it won't make any difference because the cost of re-profiling is the same as buying the housing with the right profile in it. anyway, I get you some photos in afternoon. So you know the housings are exactly the same.
ok thats good. have we got a cost yet of machining stock housing and supplying and fitting the 28RS cores?
Yeah Rollin, the price is listed in his FSBB thread... ... so you'd be putting the 320hp rated cores in them to get the 28RS spec.
Installed review of turbos I have finally got a chance to write up a little on these turbos (see below).
Why are the oil restrictors being removed altogether? My 600R kit came with braided lines and replacement restrictors
You might have to wiait for hypergear to answer this one. I assume the bearings themselves regulate the pressure going through them????
BB turbos require more oil restriction than thrust bearing turbos to my understanding. This may be the reason why.
From what I understand the Hypergear ones dont have ball bearings. They have thrust bearings and need higher oil flow so the bearings can float on the oil film and dont wear. Restrictors on those braided lines are there specifically for ball race turbos that can easily have their seals blown out with too much oil flow.
