the way its looking it doesnt seem like we're gonna get enough people, maybe you could try to get a business to fill the numbers and then sell them off at a modest profit...looking at you caz :p

realisticly will we see 10rwkw with this?

There isn't much I can do but provide dyno's of the evidence... See earlier in the thread.

I had considered that, and would be open to it. I really don't care how I get this pulley done, I just want it. Heh.

this has probably been asked/answered before but will this give me the same power as say a GFB UDP? if its about the same im in 100% and for the other ones too (full set for TT)

Perhaps 2-3whp less due to no underdriving.

Nope. I almost closed this because I didn't think we would get enough numbers, but I am starting to pursue other options.

I'll be interested in a full set if it happens any time soon... but as you mentioned numbers are looking a little on the light side  But yer.... chuck me on the list anyway

When (if?) it happens all depends on numbers. As soon as we have close to 40 I'll start taking payments and organising with UR to begin production.

Babbb: are you TT or NA?

    40% of the way!

And for people questioning the gains on the NA, our very own macman dyno'd before and after and gained 6rwkw (~8whp) so it's very close to the claimed 10whp for NA.

ANyone know flywheel weight & size

if the gain is all about the rotating weight reduction, how does this compare with lightening the flywheel? Like how heavy is stock flywheel and how much weight do people take off it?

Does an underdriven pulley require shorter belts? That would be another big cost advantage.

Just so I can decide if I shuld get one.

    Stock flywheel is ~10.5kg
    My RPS flywheel is ~5.5kg.
I believe JUN is around that same weight.

My RPS cost 520$AUD +shipping (expensive) for a similar amount of weight being removed, whereas this pulley will cost around ~290$AUD delivered I think I said (may be slightly more now due to weakening of AUD vs USD recently.

Installation of a lightweight crank pulley is comparatively simple to having to drop the gearbox to do a flywheel install.

If I was choosing only one I know which one I'd choose.

Yes it does, and yes it is.

For comparison to similar products on the market, UAS suppliers a stock sized lightweight crank pulley.

It weighs in at 1.7kg and costs $450 + shipping.

Ours should come in around the 1kg mark, and should cost less than $300 shipped. Whatever the cost price is, is what you will pay, so it could be significantly cheaper than this. My calculations before put it at $290 delivered to the east coast. $270 pickup for WA people.

Just throwing the info out there.

    Im in then

Put me on the list too.

Seems too good to miss considering its almost as good as a lighter flywheel but only about $300 and an easy fit.

I hope we get enough peole in, but maybe many have already got a UDP fitted in thier car?

most likely, it's one of the more cost effective mods. i couldn't be arsed with the regular UR pulley since you need belts and waterpump pulley. this is a much easier solution.

Of the people I've talked to, the reasons for not entering the GB are either they already have a underdrive pulley, or they don't have the $.

I'm still considering buying an extra 10 pulleys and selling them at a later stage, so we are either almost half way there, or 3/4 of the way there.

    Anyways, here are the lists:

Well, I really want this whole set, but dollars and my main concern at the present. But if this goes on for a few more weeks then I never know what fortune the future may bring me ;)

This isn't really an EOI just yet, well it is, but for the immediate future it's not gonna happen. Just thought i'd let you know there are other interested parties around that haven't spoke up as yet for whatever reason.

    Cheers
    Ben

I'm sure you're not alone in that situation. I can't believe more people haven't shown interest... usually cost effective, horsepower gaining type products get alot more interest than this has!!

I'm sure if this group buy was for a body kit, or maybe some pieces of bling, then we would....
