    DZS Crew make forum history!

Yes Baz, it all happened this weekend! Thanks to the Dalby Zed Specialist: 90TTZ, K-zed, pexzed, Magicmike, Chrispy & Benny_C. We did some major work!

    Saturday:
DZS crew arrive ~9am. Disconnect everything in engine bay, exhaust, drive shaft and gearbox. Engine was out by lunch time.
After some Greasy pies for lunch, we stripped the engine of turbos, manifolds, plenum, cam covers and all hoses, including turbo coolant lines bypass, etc...
New seals and gaskets everywhere, Plenum water bypass, EGR delete, new pcv kit (thanks Caz1), new 720cc injectors installed, then plenum gets put back on and finished.
Turbos are from hypergear, which are the 320hp rated GT28RS cores in stock housings, so it's a direct bolt-on upgrade. these got kitted and fitted to the new extrude honed, HPC coated manifolds and all bolted on.
This was done by 5.30pm Saturday arvo!! [TIS]

Saturday night, we drank the shit out of 2 cartons of TED's and ate ass loads of Pizza while we were all sitting around the engine in the shed like true enthusiasts do! :D Pissed and in bed by around 11pm (i think?)

    Sunday:
All up by 6.00am for the second shift (except for Karl who had a great sleep in :p)
Back onto working on the car at 7.00am, Engine/gearbox back in the car, everything connected up in the engine bay, gearbox connected, tailshaft connected, exhaust back together including fitting wide band 02 sensor for tuning purposes, and at the key turning point by 12.00pm!!! [TIS]

Car started first kick as expected, with a little hiccup of 2 cylinders being dropped due to pins in the injector connectors popping out. Soon identified and fixed. Then it's sit back time and watch Karl work his magic on the new tune to suite the 720cc injectors.
By 3.00pm Karl had a tune done with a nice 12:1 afr across the rev range and using a timing map from my old aggressive kakimoto tune! [TIS]

A little tweaking will be done over the next week, mainly with getting the boost set a bit better, as it was set and tuned for 15psi for the time being, but i'll get them boosting up to 20psi shortly and put on the dyno for a graph to see how it goes.
These turbos so far seem to go quite well, even at only 15psi, and i've got to fiddle with the boost controller aswell, cause its new to me and was spiking at 15, then would pull it back down to 10psi. but even at 15psi for that while was enough to brake traction a bit in second gear (good tyres)

So i'll do a proper write up on the turbos themselves in another thread after proper testing and dyno figures.

NOW, a moster thread go out to all the people i mentioned above! We had the dream team working this weekend! everybody had a different job to do, and they all did it really well, like a well oiled machine and had many, many laughs along the way! We all came out of it pretty much incident free due to our refined "Safety Squint"
But couldn't have done this work without you all, and once again - THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!! :zlove::zlove::zlove:

Plenty of piccies are out there aswell, i think mainly from Magicmike and Chrispy, so post up guys!! [TIS]

It was good to see the blue beast drive back home yesterday. Talk about a great team we have here at DZS Backyard Hopes ;)

Wait till you see the pics come up from Benny's old turbos. The compressor blades look somewhat fatigued

Nice job guys. Looks like you saved some time by keeping jacking height to the minimum:D. Lucky you guys are the slim, athletic types ;).

Some pretty Kewl piccies there thanks Chrispy!!! :D
Only problem with you taking most of the pics is you don't get to appear in many of them though! :(
Had a ball hanging out with you guys again!

Looking forward to winding the boost right up and tweaking this tune asap so (A) i can enjoy the shit out of these upgrades; and (B) i can get some dyno readings to share with you.

    SAFETY SQUINT FTW!!! :D
