    False alarm!

Well hopefully. Just a little dent where the sway bar connects to the chassis.

Inspected briefly by a panel beater friend of mine and said to be an easy fix. Up on stands again this weekend to pull everything out for a better look. Fingers crossed!

There are sooo many non crash damaged Zeds available for cheap. why not at least start with a straight shell?

That's all my car had going for it when I got it lol.

True Anti, although the damage does appear to be very minimal. I will have a good look over the weekend after pulling everything out and decide whether it is worth the repair. Rest assured that if it does go ahead, it will need to be 100% perfect and the chassis will be checked with the appropriate tooling also. If it is even a little off, things will not proceed and i will be looking for another shell.

Good luck, Jamie. Judging from the pics I would say there shouldn't be much in fixing & the rest of the car looks very tidy so my fingers are crossed for you. It is hard to find a Z that has been looked after, even if you're just after a shell.

Cheers Jono! I'll get to work dropping the uprights, swaybar and removing powersteering lines over the weekend. Fingers crossed it's repairable!

Haha no idea. Havent been home yet, but chances are theres a little white card waiting for me. Cant pick it up till the weekend tho :-(

More bad news, the JIC coilovers I won on Ebay went missing from the sellers workshop apparently! Damnit!

On the hunt for more suspension goodies.

yep overnight guaranteed shipping has always taken at least 24 hrs to get out of perth airport and then at least another 36 hours to get to us in Gero. we used to get Marine fishtank stuff dropped at the couriers at 8am aest it arrives in perth airport normally ~ 12 hrs later but does not get to the depot untill the next morning then shipped to us that day waits over night at the Gero depot then delivered around 10-12 the next morning. and we pay for same day delivery extra as its supposed to be next day delivery to us in Gero. 90% of the time our fish arrive dead - due to stress and the long delivery times (all stock has always been appropriately labeled and packaged). I am never optimistic about any form of overnight or short duration delivery to Perth and even less to Gero. Hell even Australia post registered mail loses stuff for days on end between here and perth.

New coilover options found and purchased.

Now have Greddy Type S coilovers!

    Additional bits purchased:

    Series 2 PTU
    Adjustable tension rods
    2k Spec rear centre panel
    2 x 3A filters
    R33 front brakes (296mm rotor)

No doubt more bits to come!

Why? Don't they sit flat otherwise?

Na, the edges of the top plate need to be cut into sort of a diamond shape for the Z32. GTR coilovers have a round top. Easy enough with a cutting disc and flapper to smooth it out.

Handy tip: Use the top plate from a stock front shock (Which just pops out when u pull the shock) for a template :)

**Bear in mind also that the pic i supplied was for reference only as to how they look. The units I purchased have a fork type arrangement for the rear shocks**

Sounds easy enough, that expands people's choices heaps if they're in the market for coilovers!

    Update:

Turns out Australia Post have lost a very expensive package for me. How nice of them :-(

Bought a new wiring harness (express posted). Apparently Aus post delivered it (as per the tracking number) but it is no-where to be seen.

This was a fairly large package and would never have fitted into the mailbox.

Either it has been delivered to the wrong address or it has been delivered to my house, left somewhere and spotted by someone walking by who thought they'd help themselves.

I'm dumbfounded that Aus post actually left it there tbh. I thought it was policy that if it didnt fit into the mailbox, it is to be taken to the nearest depo...

Not happy at the moment. Seems its gonna be an uphill battle getting back into the zed scene already! F@!#$%#!$

Aus post is absolutely useless! ive had so many expensive packages literally THROWN onto my front door step. Once the guy knocked, and by the time i made it from the lounge to the doorway he was running to his van leaving a $260 dress in a bag that had a huge sticker saying "DO NOT SAFE DROP" in plain view infront of the front door
