    +1.

Agree. Lightweight 17s are what you need if you are after performance. A lot of track cars also use 18s but mainly because it's hard to find very wide 17s.

Not going to argue about looks since that's a personal taste, but performance wise, no-one in their right mind would use 20s.

Okay okay, I was going to boycott responding to this ridiculous troll-fest of a thread, but I can resist no longer.

To all the pro-20" people, check this out:

Yes, those are 18-inch TE37s on an R35 GT-R. Why is it wearing rims that are two inches smaller than the stock 20-inch wheel? Because somebody wanted to test the theory that bigger rims don't necessarily improve performance.

The end result was a three second reduction in lap time while wearing the 18-inch rims. Sure it looks stupid wearing undersize wheels, but I'd rather be quick than fashionable. I know that a lot of people on this forum favour the show car look and that's okay - it's not for me, but that doesn't mean they aren't allowed to like it either. However, lets get one thing straight: in terms of generating maximum mechanical grip and delivering the best performance possible, 20-inch rims are NOT going to do you any favours.

    ZR1 around the nurburg ring

Porsche Ruf CTR3 on 20" performance wheels

    etc..etc..etc

heaps more links out there...and the fact is an extra 2" will not make the biggest difference in the world like some gronks on here want people to think. Sure there is a difference between heavy 20" rims vs lightweight 18" rims, But put up a set of lightweight 20" wheels against heavy 18"s? or lightweight 18's and 20" not much difference.

    Here Here!!!!!!!!!

All good comments, someone had to take a stand here! Wouldn't it be boring if we all assumed other peoples tastes, opinions & observations, all because they think others are more in authority. By the way, I have a NA and it's all the power I need, it's reliable as most NA's are. But hey, that's just my opinion, my Z, and my statement ......... So, 20" wheels ... good to see you involved in the forums ... without you, forums like this wouldn't exist! Well done ... cheers!:bow2:

The funny thing is most of the crackheads that are so worried about the extra 2" + in size and race car driving a street vehicle are the same idiots with na engines making 100hp or TT owners with hardly in power. And yet they are acting as though they are driving track cars and worried about the handling of the zed when changing lanes and turning around the round-about.

    lol - bunch of clowns.

If JP from UAS or Sureflo DriftZ commented on not having 20's you can understand because they are full time track cars. But when LOWZX and his 2cent plastic chromming NA mobile comment you know what they gotta to say is BS because either they cant afford 20" wheels and the rubber plus all the suspension mods to make them fit snug without rubbing or they think they michael shummaker (lol) everytime they drive to the shops to get some milk. :diespam:
