hey guys just letting u know 20inch rims will fit on a stock 300zx (255's) i searched the enrire internet to find that info and couldnt so just a heads up.
not too many people stupid enough to run them,way toooooooo big for a small sports car,the cons far outweigh the pro's if there are any pro's at all-which there isnt :vomit:
it has nothing at all to do with it being a 20 inch rim. It's to do with what offset and width it is. Saying a 20 inch rim with 255 rubber will fit says nothing. What offset is the rim, how low is the car, and what profile rubber will you be using? And i think some offsets rub on the fuel filler on 2 seaters also. Only way to tell is by trial fitting with rubber. UNLESS rolling diameter and width and offset are the same as a proven-to-fit setup for example, you're not going to fit a 20 inch rim off a 4wd on it are you? As the profile will probably be something like 50 which is bigger than a 300zx entirely (ok not that big but you get the idea)

I dont think 255 will fit. actually i dont think you can get 255 in the right size. You can get 245x30x20 which will fit the rears easy, the front might be a fraction tight. most run 225x35x20 I dont think they are to bad. but i would prefer the 18" racing harts i wanted in the first place. It was a long story but i was forced to get 20's pretty much.
i have 20 x 9.5 35 offset on the rear, 20 x 8.5 35 on the front, 295/30 and 235/35. car is lowered 40mm and does not scrub. i think i could get 315's under the rear but will have to lock the hicas.
Since were being technical, what about the wheel aswell? Cant do much with just a rim can you, how do you bolt it on?

Its not always about the practicality of what we have fitted to our cars. Sometimes the statement it makes is rewarding aswell, having 20s on a 300 is like an f40 wing on one, they look good on the right car but are otherwise useless. Customizing cars is about achieving what you want from your car, not about making it conform to what everyone else is doing. I dont see why members on this forum have to be so critical of other peoples tastes if they do not match up with there own. If you do not like some ones ideas for their car, go to another thread. There's no point flaming someone just because their opinion is not inline with yours.
good thing the wing is long gone then ok,opinions aside then,its a defect and insurance void waiting to happen,thats not opinion,thats fact (while agreeing there is hardly a car on the forum that doesnt have one or both of these points,but certainly not as visible i guess)
