Quick update! Hi all I spoke with Simon last week but unfortunately he had nothing new to report at that time! He was about to chase it all up again & see where we are at??......I was expecting to have heard back from him by now but haven't heard anything yet?? Finally an UPDATE!!! Sorry guys this has taken a while but...... I finally got to speak with Simon today!! He's emailing me some info regarding where we are at with the headers order & why the has been a few delays!! Mainly all good news but the set back in proceedings was due to a change of manufacturer!!....bit of a long story but I'll forward everyone the email so you can all have a read! If anyone is concerned by this change please wait until Simon presents us with the info before making a judgment call??......but from what he has told me we will all benefit from the change as the email will explain! The good news is that Simon estimates approx 3 weeks & the headers will be finished!.......with an additional week to send them off to HPC for the finishing touches!!....so the end is finally in sight! So I'll PM everyone the info as soon as I have it! Again I apologise for the delays but it's been out of my control! & I thank you all for your extreme patience with this!! I really appreciate it! Where are they being manufactured cos if they're in Qld already, just get em sent to us direct if that's possible?????
South Oz Headers are being made in SA......then they will need to be sent to HPC here in VIC & then to TTZ to be shipped to you all.
ANY LAST MINUTE BUYERS??? Just to clear up some confusion......this 2nd round order has been delayed due to a change of manufacturer! There have been some quality control issues with varying degrees of weld quality ranging from good to unacceptable in the recent GB & this along with a few other business related issues have forced TTZ to find an alternative manufacturer! For those of you who purchased these headers please rest assured that there is a 5year structural warranty should it ever be needed?? The new version will now have provision for the EGR connection (as many people didn't like the idea of HAVING to disconnect it!!.....so TTZ used this opportunity of producing a new jig....the reason for the delay!....... to re-work the design!) The order is being manufactured now!.......but there is an opportunity to add any last minute buyers to this GB....... but only if we act quickly!! So if anyone is still looking to buy these headers with proven performance results then please PM me! Russ
Not yet??.......but soon! I'm expecting to receive an email from Simon any day now?? I spoke with him a few days ago & he is sending me an email regarding where we are at with this so I can forward it to you all! I know this is really starting to drag out!! trust me I'm not enjoying this anymore then you are!! ......& I will DEFINITELY NOT BE RUNNING ANOTHER ROUND OF THIS GB!!!!!..............but there is only so much I can do! .......& for that matter only so much Simon can do! Deposits have been paid & the wheels are in motion........it's just that they are turning VERY SLOWLY!! But in Simon's defence ........this delay is due to this change of manufacturer & the opportunity to address a few issues regarding design & quality control. All I can say is that I know 100% Simon is doing his best for us with this GB......the cost of the new jig alone is making him lose money on the deal!! The end result will be a quality header & worth the wait! Remember these headers are one of the few examples that ACTUALLY HAVE PROVEN GREAT GAINS WITH ROAD DYNO RESULTS TO BACK IT UP!!!!......from the searching that we have done there are not many examples of header manufacturers that will provide you with this info?? Even searching STILLEN headers on other Z forums........there are not a lot of posts saying how impressed the owners were with the performance gains after fitting them??.....some even say they did not notice any gains??? Compare that with the feedback from our members who have fitted the TTZ headers!!.......not just any headers but the TTZ ones specifically!!!......most have had great things to say about the NOTICEABLE performance improvement they made to their cars!! It's starting to drag on........ Mate, I know you've had a couple of issues with the manufacturing etc but it's really dragging on now. He has the funds that he needed to get this show on the road, we really need to get something happening, if he can't do it then just let us know and we'll sort something else out...............
What to do?? Well this is the scenario.........I have paid all deposits to TTZ! Simon had engaged a new manufacturer & they are in the process of making a new jig & fabricating headers for this order! The rest is out of my control??.........as I said at the start this would be a long process!.......but agreed it has taken a lot longer than hoped?? All I can do is regularly try & contact SImon to get updates.......which I have done & will continue to do until this is completed. For anyone that is not happy then all I can suggest is you contact TTZ direct to discuss refund options?? as I can't speak for TTZ on that behalf!........as clearly stated in the original posts though ........the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE??........but again you would need to discuss the time frame factor with TTZ?? I really want these headers as I believe there are not too many quality options available in the market......so I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes for TTZ to make this happen??......but that's just me!!
