I didn't want to hijack K1ngZ "All show no go" thread http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=313164 But I could never really see the point in an NA Zed. It's a bit like having a Bugatti Veyron with a Golf GTI engine fitted. :sorry:
I've actually owned 2 of each (2xTT, 2xNA) at the same time. Please take the original post in jest as it was intended
I will concede that they both have there merits. I'm also twice as likely to kill myself in the TT compared to the NA. If I ever want to 'race for slips' on my 'private racetrack', then I'll use the TT. For those 10 seconds or less, I'm free. For the rest of those seconds, the NA looks good, drives good, and uses less fuel with less maintenence
I do agree with it from a modifying perspective as there is really only so much you can do to them with out spending big $$$. But they do have their place :zlove:
I would agree with you if it was like what happened with the skylines, having awesome gtr's but then having 4 door ugly and slow versions. Luckily with the zx they've kept the shape the same apart from a few things and thank god they havent made a 4 door. Also as far as I know the engines are very similar besides the turbo and turbo components. I grew up with my dad having 3 TT's all 4 seaters, didnt even know NA's or 2 seaters existed until I got mine. Honestly they feel similar in the down low but obviously feeling the turbo's kick in is an awesome feeling. Again I'd agree with you if the NA's were a cheap nasty looking version of the TT's but they aren't.
I agree that they are not cheap and nasty looking - you have to hate the NA front spoiler though. I bet Blink 182 weren't crouching down at the front of an NA
Hahaha yeah the NA front doesnt do it for me, luckily mine came with a TT front Haha I'm sure Blink made sure to check it was a TT before they went anywhere near it
Yes the NA absolutely does have it's place, it is purpose built as the Z32 of choice for the ladies. Us blokes have our TT's. :br:
I was very suprised when I first drove my n/a slick top. I was a TT snob too till I sampled the joys of the n/a. So much so I concidered not putting my forged TT motor in it and keep it as a "town car". HP got the better of me. I even gave enigma a drive and he was impressed with the low down power and handling.
Probaly the best comparison with a TT and an n/a haha But having drive both.. They are very different cars in soooooo many ways. I currently sting a TT.. Loving the power (even tho it a stock TT) going back to my n/a, yes it sounds and looks better it'll be disappointing not having the "thrust" ha
Ive driven TT's and i have had N/A's trying to race me LOL.. I was kind enough to give him a 4-5 car length head start. TT vs. NA? No comparison TT hands down owns. NA's are nice for what they are but i would NEVER buy one to keep it as a NA. Take Gargoyle for example, he got the lightest Z possible NA manual slicktop and now he is chucking in a monster TT. Perfect combination +1 TT snob. (no offence NA guys.)
My na will beat your tt to 60kmh And that's the legal speed limit on most streets. Also have better diff from factory. And it doesn't have any of that silly hicas stuff. (ps. I want another tt... badly)
