Have to agree with Simon here. Unless we're talking about candy-painted show cars, it isn't really a good idea to stick 20' rims on a zed. Apart from the legalities Simon already mentioned, the car will accelerate slower and handle worse..

Drz, do you have pics for us? I'd be really interested to see how these puppies sit inside your guards with that width and offset. I be it looks awesome actually. :)

Fair go lads, the dude wasnt asking about legality, prcaticality, handling, braking or acceleration.

He simply stated a fact that the 20" wheels would fit and he couldnt find anything on a search. Seems he copped a fair face full just for making some info known.

If the guy wants to fit 20" wheels and that gives him wood, sobeit. I suspect hes not the slightest bit interested in loosing legality some braking, handling or other Zed street cred.
    Same as this guy eh?

Its his ride gentlemen and he didnt ask for a face full of shut-the-****-up or why he shouldnt do it. He just made a simple statement.
Jeez relax and give a break!

Try telling that to most of todays engineers which put 20" wheels standard on newer cars. eg: GTR.

Ofcourse the cars suspension has been designed for the 20" rims but then again you can get all adustable aftermarket suspension for the zed and have it tuned and setup to handle them without any issues. Its just a matter of how much money you want to spend.

IMO its a much smarter choice to get bling wheels that compliment the Zed rather than bling bling chrome out onto shitty NA engine that gets its arse handed to it, by commowhore family cars.

Also past 3yrs iv had no issues with the police, infact even been complimented at RBT for the wheels. Its all personal taste i guess.

Dont worry about the tightarses or idiots who talk out of their arse for the sake of putting their 2cents. Each to their own, this members stated 20" wheels fit and obviously he wanted them on his z because it makes him feel good coz its something he likes. Respect it :)

You have to store the pics externally (ie photobucket etc) Then link them here...

    Mike, im running:

    225\30\20 fronts and 255\30\20 rears.

Can go much bigger at the rears, a mate of mine had 22" on the rears lol (thats overkill though)...might become the standard in another 10yrs time but at the moment the standard on all new sport cars is 19" and 20" rims.

Do you think you could get anymore width than 255 on a 20" at the rears?

No, what you do is use something like imageshack to upload the photos. Then when you post a reply, you click on the picture icon and past the image address in that field.

Looking forward to your pics. :)

The new GTR has 20' rims? Are you sure?

I agree that it's a matter of personal taste, i was just pointing out the negatives (on a zed, not on a car that came with them from factory). If you have 20' rims on your zed and like them, who am I to slam that? But I was just saying that it's not for everyone. Just the same how I have half my interior missing and thus a lighter, faster zed, but driving around with no door trims or centre consoles is also not for everyone. lol

Also, i'm not sure why you compared the 20' rims to blinging out an NA engine.. I don't have an NA nor do I have any bling in the engine bay (apart from the polished Chili brace..)

i dunno why everyone turned this into a 'they'll look like shit' thread. My point was that saying 20inch wheels fit on a zed tells you nothing and people shouldn't just go buy any out there, As offset, caliiper clearance and width can all be deciding factors in fitment. Same as a 17inch wheel even

I had all sorts of clearance issues front and rear trying to get mine on. The front calpipers are a pita to get around. I will say that wheel revolution at slacks creek is a master with wheel mods.

I got no issue with 20" rims on a Z. I've been contemplating doing it myself. 20" for show, 18" for track (19" for street haha)

Look forward to seeing the pics.

Not to mention that 20" wheels actually have a larger contact patch than smaller diameter wheel of the same width... top secret do it too

but hey im sure you guys know way more than nissan and top secret

Only if the rolling diameter is increased. Which then throws out your speedo, and even more illegal. Semi's on 17's would likely give you better results on a Z, not to mention that 20" semi's are a stupid price.
