Dont know exactly....... The speedo only goes to 280 and the needle was bashing that area damn hard .... I wasnt really gunna take my eyes off of the road for a 'closer look' at that speed At that speed ya eyes tend to do this .... -> At 280ish she had more to give..... At 47 I'd had the best rush in years..... Best top speed prior to that was on a bike...... Radar trap measured me at 286kph. NB: Both 'events' were sactioned events and done under supervision of officials etc whilst on private property. Roads are getting from A to B ..... Racetracks are for racing
At the drags 188.49kph (117.12mph), just into 4th gear. At the track, well into 5th gear down the straight at Phillip Island, bloody quick, didn't have time to look, not taking my eyes of the road at those speeds.
you will find they actually made 300bhp like the yanks but due to the agreement labled '276bhp' like gtr
Yeah... The agreement is over now and they can now have any power they want, hence the new GT-R having 480HP. A lot of these cars were designed and made to have a lot more than 276HP and were simply de-tuned for the agreement. We all know this once we start doing a few basic mods to unleash the power. The Zed had 300HP in the states and the Supra had 320HP...but in Japan, both were 276HP. And they were always capped at 180km/h...while the delivered versions, like the Aus-Spec ones went well into the 200's. This is a quick way to tell if your car is Jap or Aus spec...just by looking at the speedo...unless of course it's been changed...like mine and a lot of others... You get more of a reaction from people when they look inside and see 300km/h as opposed to 180km/h. Cheers Rob.
Very true.. ..I had my VN Commodore up to 212 once (don't know about exact speed due to speedo error) was smooth as silk.. but have only had the Z to 180 once and was very lucky not to get caught. Stupid... very stupid in hindsight..!
188 in 4th damn! now thats just stupidly quick....i would love to know what your actual top speed is though...should get a gps in your car while on PI
I hit 210 in 4th in my old clubsport i did 225 in the zed had alot more too go these were done in my dream and shouldnt be done in reality.
meh... thats only 220 in the real world We cant claim they dont read right one day, and then use them to claim our top speed the next
i never complained about the readout, but i didnt have a speedo so the lidar gun and the piece of paper i was given is all i have to confirm
highest offical recorded speed was 169kph on new england hwy in my old r32 gtst, thanks to cop's radar on his hwy patrol ^_^, lesson, dont speed ! but yeh besides hitting the speed limiter back in the day when i was stupid enough to speed so much, highest above 180 is unknown as all the speedo's ive ever had only go to 180 speedo in my friends r32 when i took it for a burn around the track went around past 180 then continued counting numbers on the other side, but i didnt take particular notice to watch the speedo to figure out how fast i was going, that would be silly! lol >.<
