3rd gear you mean the race naa it was 2nd gear but the rx7 driver started from low speed kinda putting me off my power band an he also went first if you look at it properly........i will try posting up my dyno sheet but that rx7 has intake, exhaust an intercooler an its bloody light with fibre bonet an fenders to run with that logically a heavy car like the soarer will atleast need over 200wkw..... an your zx slapping me across the road i can say my soarer will slap ur zx accross the road, we can argue all we like but soarers are not as slow as you think even i thought they were slow, i used to own a 3rd gen mr2 turbo ran low 13's consistantly sure the mr2 will most probably beat it at the strip but my soarer is auto an would probably beat my old mr2 from a roll, will run my mates zx soon an post up a vid will show video of the zx with open bonet an blow off goin as well so every one knows its a turbo zx ill be racing....

dyno sheets really mean nothing at all, i could goto a dyno and pull 280rwkw, and 230 on another.. but that being 2nd gear, it took ages.. maybe you do have 220rwkw. but your acceleration isnt fast. oh yeah.. what forum was this thread linked to for you to make your way to it? lol
i dont see how a tt zx wouldnt be running under low 14's?? my na is very mildly modded and does low 15's
lol dunno just happen to fall upon it off google, didnt really take me ages 2nd gear goes to 130km/h an i did start from 50ish, plus your car does make a bit more power then mine sooo kinda unfair to compare

I have been in a auto and manual Soarer, and the auto soarer was slow plus it was modded, the manual was way quicker (both were TT). I wouldnt get a Soarer i'll save a extra 2-3K and get a Supra instead.
But on this Soarer v's ZX "debate" I've been in a stockish auto TT soarer and have been in an auto TT stock zed, i'd say they'd be very close, the 1jz is a good engine esp if properly worked on, but the general shape of the soarer and its common "boat term" is not for me, each to their own i guess

Upon reading this again I have realised just how wrong it is. We have several NON-TURBO Z's on this forum that are putting out around 140rwkw! So the supposed tt Z that was used in this test was most definately stuffed. Maybe they used a Z31 instead? As that would be about the right power figure
