I had to take it back to the mechanics 2 days after i picked it up because a hose cracked which was linked to the clutch slave cylinder and now 2 days after picking it up again!!!!! The cooland is leaking got no idea where its coming from apart from towards the rear of the engine bay ;[[[ QQ

shouldnt really buy one of these unless you can fix cars yourself or have surplus cash flow to blow. sorry thats just the reality of having a 20+ year old car.

    Get a new mechanic.

Either they are blind to the obvious. Have no idea at all what they're doing. Or simply they are just too rough.

Z32TT has a point to a certain degree. DIY, and you'll save your wallet from being torn a new zipper.

Come on, PT's are meant to be useful aren't they ;):p

Definitely get a new mechanic :p

I was the same till i got sick of getting ripped off and told crap...i ended up finding Bryan (Brytech) as my new mechanic and have never gone anywhere else since :)

Im sure there is a local forum member or mechanic that knows what he is doing and is more than willing to help you out...or you could even host a tech day and spend your money on a bbq and drinks and help each other and get the job done for free :)

Hope it all works out for you :)

diagnosed and somewhat reduced a radiator cap/overflow pipe leak based issue, went for my first drive in it whithout exceeding the posted limit by any more than 10km/h, pretty difficult.

    Or heater hoses.
