If anyone in the western Sydney is about to do a retrim and has their doortrim off i will cover ONE doortrim with another vinyl first to make sure it will stick ... just to show you it can be done .

Oh and please...never try and glue your NEW cover over the old ...BIG mistake...unless you use Liquid Nails and alot of clamps  ...

about never covering the old fabric with the new.

When I put that question to Interior Magic, before I bought my kit, I was told that it was quite OK to do that!!!!!!

the uphosters seem to think it will be the only way to get the doors to

sitck. Because it looks like from the factory the material has been vulcanised to the door, and they would have a better chance of the glue holding to the existing faeric. Also it's a bitch to get off the original covering.

    Vulcanized???

Vulcanizing is an old process for repairing rubber items, and would hardly be suitable for attaching fabric to a door trim.
My old trim came off very easily when I had my Zed re-trimmed.
BTW, as stated earlier, Paul-PT300Z is a professional Upholsterer with 20+ years of experience, and as my old Dad used to say, "Never try to teach your Grandmother to suck eggs" (It's a process that Collectors used to use, to remove the entire contents of an egg, through a pin hole in one end of the shell).:thumbsup:
