Im not going to finish that project because I'll be doing the new design (in my sig) carved out with my CNC machine... but opening the bonnet is a matter of cutting seams into the redesigned top. Its best to keep this thread about Ztoy's project.
Not quite like an rx8, Im after harder lines than the mazda, Again im looking for something like the CLK63 AMG but without making it look like I have done a direct copy. It still has to work in with the lines of the zed. some more inspirational photos. I think i need to get my hands on a Twin z rear bar. I may even consider doing the Vents in the front guard, Provided it doesnt look dicky. OM NOM NOM NOM :zlove:
can't wait to see the end result mate i really like fender flares. i personally like the raw look of bolt on flares that get used on 240Z's.
After a brainstorming session with 2thumbsup it was decided that the guards needed a 20mm vertical edge on them. After alot of dicking around I finally got them done. Next weeks job is doing the same to the rears and making them work with the fronts.
Yes, and onto the skirts and the rear bar too. Was always the plan. I doing the flares first and then the skirts, and bars. Need to do them first so I can get FG ones painted and on the car and be rid of the horrible 240z ones. No was I was gonna leave the front edge looking like that
Flare plugs are almost finished, I gave them a coat of back as a guide coat that needs to be sanded back but they are close to been ready to make a mold from. Heres a handfull of pics of where its at right now. There is also a sneak peak of the nose panel im working on as well as a side project.
