Are these the new expansion dumps?

Again prices would be good. These dumps are hot, if they are 5 bolt its worth upgrading turbos just for these :D

    Damn I need money.

If you read all that, yes you did read correctly. Stock turbo Z producing 450 WHP @ 24psi.

    Current price for downpipes... $795US...

dont forget UDM turbo's are slightly larger than JDM turbo's,
also the efficiency of our jdm's would easily peak at 19..
    so expect about 400rwhp..

    thats my theory anyway

Hmmm, now I have to decide whether to go from a 2.5" to a 3" system. Will there be any issues with RHD/LHD type stuff? Will be interested in price. Are these the ones (SZ selling them for $795US ) :

I'd never heard that the JDM turbo's were smaller than the USDM ones. So I looked into it and found you were correct.

JDM turbos = USDM auto turbo's which are slightly smaller than their manual ones.

You would be pushing it to make any more horsepower than WXY's car anyway. That car is on the limit and the owner has been told by GD that it is probable it could blow up at any time.

Send us a PM with price please Paul.

They look like a nice dump pipe. How long will you be selling these for? I'm after a set for my GT2860r's but it won't be for quite a few weeks.

    I think

the usa manual zeds were equiped with garrett TB02/22
same as the ones we have, or did the usa zeds have T25's ?
I dont think our cars have smaller than TB02/22 turbos.

arey ou talking about 2.5" (or 3") all the way through???

...im thinking of a setup like this: 3" dumps to 3" test pipes that cone back down to 2.5" and then 2.5" all the way to mufflers

what u guys think of the pros/cons of that setup??

Wouldn't it be best to have all the same dimensions throughout, i.e. 3" or 2.5" straight through?, obviously the less bends the better, freer flowing that way, someone correct me if im wrong

me and beaver can both agree that a 3">2.5" setup would be bad, infact it was geoff that spotted the dodgy dealings of the exhaust shop that fitted my dump pipes, which managed to miss align it to the cat back by about 5mm, that resulted in 14 psi @ 5000rpm! instead of about 3700, also resulted in a good 10rwkw loss in power.. once it was realigned.. yeah boogy time!

keep the pipe the same size all the way through.
and geoff i think they use a different cartridge..
the zeds in the states are 300hp @ 9 psi, our's are 280hp @ 9 psi, same air box same exhaust, so they didnt remove any restrictors.

also, its my general conception the YANKS have higher reading dyno's they us, say a 400rwhp car in aus would dyno around 430-450rwhp in the usa, from what i've seen of alot of the figures the cars are making over there, arent matched by the times they lay down. for instance 280(fwhp) acura gsr.. with just a b18c and bolt on's non turbo.. come on theres no way known!

    ....just a.....

......note of interest:) I achieved 376HP ATRW with just fitting 2.5" Divorced Dump pipes (2.5" all through), to my Manual TT, 2 seater. The only other performance mods were a pod filter and boost controller set at 14psi.:) Go figure;) The Dyno chart is on Fleets website:cool:

just a noob question....3" obviously all the way through is better as mentioned, he did say that he tested it going back to the 2.5" cat back and only drop is hp was after 6000rpm......but he said all the way through 3" sounded better, hence the sensation of it being better...

anyone know if the 3" all way will be cop bait, too loud etc........i mean tahts an ideal setup and from what they are saying its going to sound nice and throaty...
