Check out the BOC 175 multiprocess. MIG/STICK/TIG. Comes with all the torches, and with a bit of haggling, you might get it down to $900 including GST at a BOC gas and gear shop.

If you want a dedicated AC/DC TIG, then look at a BOC smootharc 185AC/DC - around a grand. You want the AC/DC capability to do aluminium as it helps to break thru the oxide layer. If you only want to tig mild steel then your $200 inverter stick welder will do liftarc tig.

This is a bit of a shameless plug for my work, but the two machines above are really geared towards the home handyman and light fabrication, and are really competitive price wise. If I had a decent shed I'd snap up a multiprocess machine, practice tig on mild steel using the DC capability, and see if an ACDC machine is suitable from there. If you need any user manuals for those machines, I have a soft copy I can email you.

You can't tell me these aren't high quality, I absolutely will not listen to anyone who says otherwise!

I pulled them down and found them to be super-chunky and really well made. They make my hand look artistic and somewhat petite. :p

    Fitted:

I also added some adjustable tension rods:

UAS brace and hardrace tension rods today

That UAS brace was a %$#@ of a thing to install. Needed all the planets to line up and it was as tight as a #@!@.

But its on now so all good!

Just quietly, these are identical to our ebay spec jobbies we bought from NZ, coupled with the otomoto kkr tension rods, have performed beautify without fault for several years now. That being said we live in adelaide with dimplier roads then a teens head. So ride height isnt much less then stock.

So have fun with them, just keep them in mind when you do your scheduled services to inspect them. (ive put nail polish on the threads and locking retainers to keep an indication of where they're situated when finally aligned - allows me to see when and if they were to ever walk)

Also noticed you havent any dust boots on your tension rods (on the rose joint end). Would source them and install... Ours came with them, yet look the same as your rods.... so would have thought you'd receive them..

All very good info! I actually have eBay type camber arms on my 2+0(these AMS ones are on the 2+2) and visually the AMS have a meatier hexagonal body and Koyo sealed bearings, I feel much better about these ones.

I certainly don't think they have even the slightest chance of fouling as I'm old enough to appreciate seeing space between the wheel arch and the rubber, not to mention the much lower than stock front bar I'm sporting which loves to chew on any pitch transfer section of road or driveway.

Dust boots for the tension rods - where can I get them?

Re-fitted my undertray, fitted AMS oil cooler (absolute shit of a job).

Stock oil cooler + doolz + 2x air filters + FMIC is tight at the best of times. Now add oil cooler twice as fat, twice as high and longer than stock.

Also fitter ducted front indicators. Modified wiring to new bulb holders to fit the bulbs in the rear section of the stock indicators. Front main section removed/modified for ducting.

Not sure what the new ducts will give air to, but that's not the point :p

    Brakes mabe...

That's cool mike! Need to take to it with some glass and clean it up a bit though

If you're getting foggies back in instead of ducts why don't you fit ADM indicators in their place and make a full duct for the j-spec indicators?

Unsure if I'll do hid fogs or more ducts. I'm liking the black on red atm so in that aspect I like the ducts, but I do like having lots of light for nights in the mountains ;)
