why is it not colour coded to the rest of the car though? theres 3 colours on the outside just in those photos? if the bay is a different colour fine, but at least have the outside one colour if its a project thats being worked on, then fine. if its "because racecar" then i disagree. its actually "because shitbox" anti, your car is immune from "because shitbox" status because its still a project...........
I can only assume with the amount of work in it that it's an ongoing project, like mine. I wouldn't have the blow off valves in the bay either but hey I guess some people like showing that stuff off... The balance tube is from a Nissan Leopard J30 which came with either an NA VG30DE or VH41. Same chassis as a Gloria/Cedric. No idea what the benefit of the different balance tube may be.
the bov's go against the "minimalist" thing hes going for. the balance tube looks quite a bit bigger then our standard one. looks awkward to me. one thing that always makes these bays look better is the empty corner where the battery normally sits, clears up mass's of real estate. same with the fuse box.
Another one from the states. The car in question - a looker indeed Interesting things going on with the bay. Relocated coils, balance tube and coolant temperature sensors. Love the white plenum. Don't love the surf board throttle cable cover. -A
Goes to the effort to do a full engine bay tuck, then leaves the a/t dipstick sticking out like a sore thumb. Why???
Like a few others (Mike D for example), he seems to have taken great effort in the big areas but lacks an eye for detail? Hoses and other junk easily visible if you look closely.
Im gonna feel so stupid for asking this...but this car is minus the balance tube. Can we run without it or is he running an aftermarket one somehow?
The bay tuck was so neat and tidy i didnt even see it until you pointed it out Also, that throttle cover looks longer than mine...that isnt stock surely, where can i get one?
