just wanted to give a big thanks to yourself for organising this and whoppersandwich for going out of his way to grab me a set.

cheers boys! however it probably worked out for the best. have new plans for the 300 yet.

 

Yeah I would definitely consider the heat wrap option if I couldn't afford HPC??.......but the advantage of HPC is that it coats the INSIDE surface of the headers also! - so both inside & out!........which helps increase LAMINAR air flow (ie helps to reduce 'hot spots' caused by friction as the hot exhaust gases are forced to change direction inside the bends of the pipes! - resulting in a more efficient gas flow through the headers!) - so it has slight performance advantages as well! The heat wrap will only help to reduce engine bay temps! - which is still a good thing!

UPDATE:! Headers are leaving Adelaide today so we should have them here in Melbourne in the next day or so! 2 sets will be sent to HPC as soon as they arrive! HPC usually takes about a week! Gaskets are not in the country just yet??........but expected to be here early next week! Will keep you all posted!

 

Whereabouts are the headers actually being manufacture russ? Just wondering

I've just been dealing with Simon at TTZ & as yet the need hasn't arisen for me to contact the manufacturer direct?

Hey Ryan.......All the GB info is recorded at home & I don't have it with me here at work & I can't recall off the top of my head!......but were you originally down for HPC??......or are you just inferring that you wish you could afford to get it??........it's just that the 2 sets to be coated are probably already on the way to HPC??......so please don't tell me you have changed your mind on your requested finish??.......because there won't be much I can do about it now??

 

Phew!........from your PM about final payment it looks like you were only meant to have a standard finish set!........you had me worried there for a moment!

 

Headers are in Melbourne! Just waiting now on gaskets to arrive with the rest of the TTZ order from Coz!
