ive searched but didnt get many pics with zeds with different tint im getting my car done in 2 weeks and am confused on what %% to go with... save the legal/illegal issues, i know what is legal or not. atm im thinking 20% on the quarter windows and rear hatch. and 30% on the door windows ??? post up your pics with tint and tell me what %% you have

Im considering tinting my windows as well. Whats the best place to go to? I always hear that tint a car ads on the radio. Are they good enough or is there some1 better??
agreed.. do them all the same.. I went 20% all round and 5% on the roof i wouldn't go darker then 20 on the sides and rear as it just becomes too dangerous and cop bait
On a black car go for 35% all round would look nice and if you have a dark interior it will look darker. Don't go for something very dark and illegal it's just not worth it for a tint. I used to have 3% tint on a white car and while it looked damm hot once I got the yellow sticker it turned into the biggest nightmare, never again
agreed... looks darker on a dark car. but i do feel that 20% is sorta a grey area on being too dark.. i think its perfect
wats the darkest a 89 model can go? im not to sure on laws, also isnt pre 94 aloud to have darker? cheers
32% is the current law in vic for all cars,no matter what year,you can do 28% with no dramas,anything darker and youre are looking for trouble
Could hardly see at night and couldn't even see into the car during the day and my enterior was light beige.
Agree with L'n'P for a change 20% is perfect. Not to much, not too little. however if it's a dark coloured car i'd have to say 30 would be fine as well. DO NOT GO 5% on the Zed. It just becomes too dangerous and ridiculous. Especially in the first couple of days of the application. Stick to %20! Fate
looks good though. My mate has 5% on the rear wimdow and rear passenger of his beema and its hard to see out at nite Heres a pick of my zed (cant tell you how many % i bought it done) Here is the beema during the day And the beema at night (sorry bout the quality, its with my phone)
yours is 32% right??? looks good but i want darker. you can still see heaps through 32%. it doesnt look stupid though have you seen a car with what i had in mind. the front window cannot be tinted and its very light, then they did legal on the doors (32%), and then darker on the rears (20%)...blended in nicely. atm i think im going to go for 20% all round hrrmmm... my friends referred me to Sam. his number is 0411338616. few of my friends have done it by him and have had no problems with the tint for the last 5 years. he gaurenteed his work and tine for 3 years. have a search up on ns.com and skylinesaustralia.com ...sam has done many many cars off these forums and everyone praises his work. but if you want someone very reputable then go to tint-a-car . sam is charging me just under $220 for 20% tint including removing the old tint off... think i might actually go with tint-a-car though they will give me 20% tint inlcuding removing the old tint off and warranty it for 10 years for $300. i think the warranty pays for its self hrmm... dammmm that looks really nice man. do you have any more pictures showing more of your tintt have you had any problems with the tint on the targas ??? i really want to do mine aswell but some people told me i couldnt ??? if so for sure ill go 5% on the roof. 20% looks so good though so far looks like a winner. legal is 32% but i think it still shows too much inside even on a black car. 20% should be ok i think on the doors. the front window has light coming through it so it will somewhat brighten the door windows up... not really.. why on earth can't you do the targas? its just glass.. go 5% on them.. it gets direct sunlight and you wont get stickered for it as you dont look out them to drive...
thats the problem, they say you cant do them because you run the risk of the actual glass cracking/breaking. just went to tint-a-car and booked it in for tuesday 20% all round although he wont do the targas for me he said they wont do it at all even if i want to take the risk. they too said that they take too much heat and the glass can crack/break how long have u had yours done in 5%. i want to get mine done now
Ive got 5% on the rear and rear quarter windows, stock fronts as far as im aware. Tough japanese street racer look
