Well was a nice day for racing cept for the windy conditions, I had fun got caught in a little traffic for some of the runs but got to pass a few cars should look good on the in-car footage havent looked at it yet thou. I only managed a 64.002 grr so close to a 63 but the track seemed a little slippery on couple of corners. Anyways got a 4th untimed run and then over the PA system they annouce they are going to allow a passenger run so i grabbed MAX to come out with me showed him what ABS and semi slicks can do to pull up the car. Car behaved itself MOST of the day well till i was heading home got onto the double laned section of road and the radiator hose decided to pop off the stainless elbow section and dumped alot of coolant, the car following me at the time alerted me, I pulled over to see it was an easier fix till i realised after lending my water to someone at the track i only had a litre good thing couple of the guys from the track driving the S2000's were at the servo not 5mins before me so i flagged them down grabbed what little water they had on them and managed to almost fill the radiator enough to drive the 5km home.. There should be pics and a few other stories to tell but I will leave them upto others to tell. All in all a good day for ME and MAX...

Wow another great day. It will take a while to write up so I'll post again tomorrow. Its gonna make the 6 Starwars movies seem like a Readers Digest story. Dont fret, the Death star will still get destroyed in the end
FunFun I really enjoyed the day. my first run out was a mess. Sideways through the dipper, then straight ahead at the dipper into the runoff. Got lapped on every run by an EVO, and there was a bloody GTR who continued to pass through corners. A big no no for sprint racing, wasn't happy they kept letting him race. run 1 was all over the place from a 1:43 to 1:14. run 2 got it down to 1:14 to 1:10.8 and run 3 my most consistent 1:12.00 1:12.07 1:10.93 1:10.51 1:13.3 (got held up on the last run. So a PB of 1:10.51, I was happy with that considering I have no suspension mods, no ABS and street tires, which might I add are now shredded to pieces, and good riddance to the pieces of crap. I'm still deciding it I want to do it again, don't get me wrong I loved it and recommend you all try it one day. I'm just trying to decide if I want a hot street car or a shabby track car. ie I don't want all leather trim, $10000 paint and big stereo if it's gonna be a track bogie.
hey Max sorry I couldnt be there, working in the shop as usual and I did a minor clean up of the place. not many people go out and have a go, kudos to you and I bet you had the time of your life the "no passing in corners" is a suggestion for newbies. experienced sprinters do it all the time. I heard a tale of woe about ztoy's car but will let him tell the tale.

Sorry to hear about your misshap Al How is the motor? You goin to swap it out into a shell or something? Or have you not thought that far ahead yet?
Hey for those that were there remember the guy pouring martini race fuel down the side of his Rs4? Well that fuel he had, 101-102 octane or something, would that be worth trying if I had another track day, extra performance? I would think it also safer too as the weather heats up? It's about 180 for 20L, don't know wher to get it though.
i think it was an RS8 i wouldnt worry about in unless you were pinging or had turbos and wanted to up the boost in the warmer times. I think i went thru about 20ltrs yesterday so if i used that stuff the day would have cost me 280 bucks ouchies

oh man. 1st the purple people eater now the Z toy! sorry to see that When i had the scrape on my front end it just wouldnt buff out no matter how hard i scrubbed Is it terminal?

I had a look around then found him against the wall. I shot gun clear side indicators, and some interior bits Al, If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried. I hear Torana rolling shells are going cheap, VGHXTT I got a few of you and Aza. I'm still down at Al's so when I get home, I'll post the rest of the day up
