Sorry for the hold up on ducts guys, I wanted to test fit them to see exactly how much trimming was required to fit the stock TT bar as these were designed for the 2K bar.

Having trial fitted a duct to my own car, and being satisfied with the suitability for a stock TT bar, I will now make these available for purchase on there own.

Tomorrow I will have a look at packaging and so on and work out a postage price.

    Regards,

    John

You may require a simple trim around the corner marker, depending on what setup you have, very easy.

Im going down the post office now, to check out packaging, should be able to give you postage cost tonight, whats your postcode ?

Apologies for the delay, I have been trying to work out suitable packaging for the ducts so they arrive in good condition.

I wanted to put them in the box with the intercoolers but I cant figure out a way to do it with out them probably getting damaged, so i am going to have to package them seperately, unfortunately this adds to postage costs.

I will PM you details today.

The ducts won't fit so I have a pair up for grabs.
Being an idiot I didn't even notice I have monster ducts built in to my bar.
I'll be throwing these babies on soon, "2 idiots and 2 smic's". Although idiot 1 is busy working so it may be "1 idiot with no idea?

Anyone in WA, here's your chance to get a set of ducts on their own without postage costs, if Gargoyle is agreeable to pickup.

Who knows he might offer "2 Idiot Performance" fitment for a cost, with entertainment thrown in. But FFS make sure your car is insured for acts of stupidity. :D

Wanted to post up a bit of installation information to assist buyers.

Here is a link to KK Engineering installation guide, read this first: http://www.kroffts.com/kke/files/GS_Ducts_Install_Rev_B.pdf

One thing I did different was to install the bottom pop rivets from the underside so they are flush on the bottom side, the reason for this is I felt that it removed a snag point, should you get too close to a parking bollard, leaves the tail of the rivet up in the duct, not as tidy to the eye, but I thought the tails hanging down might catch small animals and children.

These ducts are designed for the2k front bar and require a bit of trimming to suit a stock TT front bar. This detail is particular to the stock TT bar but should be useful to people with other bars as a guide.

Two simple trims with some tin snips and a bend and your good to go, I am providing this detail as a guide only, car to car things will vary slightly no doubt, use this information to look at what may be required for your car, it should make things a lot easier for you.

Don't worry if this is hard to understand whats going on, once you have the ducts assembled and your bar off and test fitted it will all become clearer.

This first picture shows the pop rivets installed from the bottom, an estimate of the trimming of the bottom edge and the bend to the side plate.

This next picture shows the bottom plate with the top plate lined up and some reference marks to help freehand the estimated trim required. Probably pay to do this before you rivet them together.

This trim makes way for the parker light I have, if you have driving lights it may be a bit different, and may not be required if you have a duct in there or leave it open, with the bottom plate trimmed as above you can fit the bar and have a closer look what is required.

The outside mounting holes of the duct attach to the intercooler and the inside mounting holes attached to the old mounting bracket (couple of nuts to suit old hardware will be needed), the intercooler will be held in place by the rear large bolt and hoses, this will provide more then enough support and allow the intercooler to be positioned as not to kink the hoses.

    So, clear as mud ?

I have procrastinated putting this information up as I thought it might create more confusion then it resolved, read the KKE PDF and this and it should make installation a little more straight forward, good luck ! :zlove:

Any questions let me know. :)

Just stirring you brisz, I know they'll fit comfortably :)

Fairly happy with my new SHINY meccano set -

This stuff looks too good to shove behind a front bar and get road grime and dead bugs all over it.
I'm tempted to put it in the lounge as a permanent art display

Easy as to fit, even for an idiot!

Wow that's quiet a difference. Was that with any other changes or just the IC's? What PSI boost do you run at?

No other changes, just the smic's. I dialed in 15.3psi but it never went over13psi. Boost leak test this week.
