I lost my short term memory(so I don't notice it any more). It just stopped doing it(and has never happened again in the past 3 years).
Thats seriously weird. id not seen this thread prevoiusly until this dig. I was going to suggest some crushing of the internal support material between the brake disk faces. Would allow both sides of the disk to deflect inwads under braking but flex back to parrallel. BUT, the issues going away is even more mysterious which points to the possibility of something funky going on between the pad material and the disk face and AWAY from a mechanical deflection of the disk faces .......... Speculating tho. L8r E
had the same problem with mine. it was really bad with my DBA slotted rotors and Green Stuff pads so i changed them both over to stock items thinking the discs had hot spots in them. it didn't really make much difference at all and i still don't know why it does it. happens with the shims in and out too.
Been reading and discs have to be machined on the car to accomodate for hub difference. It sucks when you have this problem
really, i had the standard ones machined off the car before i put them back on. they shudder so bad that when i raced at WSID i could hardly slow down enough for the return road.
yeah they have to be machined on the car. its a MUST apparently as it compensates for any small hub runout/grit on surface.
