I leave mine in the center (economy) with the overdrive always on, even when I drag race. I use the hold switch when I road tune as I want it to hold third gear when I nail it from 80K/hr. :D

Normal. I use hold in the wet and power/shifting the stick when i'm in a hurry.

Don't use any of it. Hold in the wet is more controlled, but not at all fun....and power comes on automatically if you slam the pedal to the floor anyway.

No it doesn't. If your in hold mode and slam your foot to the floor, nothing happens, at least to me. It just stays in the gear it's in.

Sorry vaughn, I meant that power MODE comes on automatically.....forgot to put that word on.

I just leave it on Auto..never really fiddle with it..Except from a stop start position I put the power button on if I wanna hear her go lol...
But that's on the very rare occasion hahaha

i leave it in economy regular driving...

overdrive off unless im going over 80kms (overdrive button is 4th gear)

hold button when i dont want it to change gears automatically (hold button keeps you in the gear you are in)...usually when doing twisites etc, as you dont want the car to change gears while on a tight corner....

power engages automaticlly if your foot is plannted...(power lets the rev range go to red line)

Why wouldn't you want to go into 4th below 80? Better fuel economy.

And besides the redline thing (which even power mode won't let me reach in mine, only neutral) power also holds the gears for longer. So if you let off the throttle, it will stay in the high gear for a bit before dropping down, while in normal mode it will drop down almost straight away.

personally i think too much load is applied in the highest gear at low speeds...especially when say you going 60kms and in the highest gear and press the accelerator too much load would be applied, just like going up a hill in a higher gear....could detonate, ping etc...

    I do what Chad does..
I drive with overdrive off in 0-60km range..but when im going into a 70km+ range I turn overdrive on (allowing it to go into 4th gear)

Well, I got a girlfriend for that.

If I want to drift (why else would you want a manual?) I can choose a gear. If I want to go in a straight line and win, I'd rather have an auto :p

I leave mine in the middle most of the time and use O/D most of the time as well.
At the drags, I also leave it in the middle, and O/D off (then I get lock-up clutch in 3rd gear).
Hold mode sometimes if it's wet, as the shift kit can make thumping hard gear changes when negotiating corners  :bash:
I never use POWER mode, else I'd get whiplash as the car slams into second at 60kmph. Damn that shift kit (but I love it too :D)
