Dyno reading ?

Maybe they are different to ones we fitted a few years back as found they were no better than stock ones? Performance wise I mean and you lose the heat shielding.

Stock dumps and pipe work sizes depends where you measure from, as it is the id that counts.

 

The measurements are taken from the exit flange of the dump pipe and measurements are internal diameter. The stock ones are less than 2" steel units whereas my products are made from stainless steel and are split flange (seperate wastegate and turbine housing). For $259, you are getting the length of half an exhaust system, not just a dump.

Measurements

Stock ones are 2.1 inch ID. Whatis theid of these on exit of dump? These are silly cheap and good for what they are but do they make more power?

 

I haven't dynoed a TT Manual with these (before and after), however gains were made on a TT Auto (~12rwhp).

 

It would be good to have dyno figures for the first set made on a TT Manual just to set everything straight.

Im pretty sure even for a 12hp increase the dumps which is less than $200 by themselves would be well worth it.

 

I'll get some before and after dyno readouts when this lot comes in. I'll try to get both Auto & Manual TT's in stock form for a good benchmark.

Yes if you can get dyno readings before and after would be good as we found stuff all difference and why we don't sell them even though so cheap. If can get bigger I would be keen as can't get made in Aus obviously for anything like this price. Shame they did not go a little bigger. The other prob is being non turbulance if going bigger turbo the mouth is ? big enough to match the exhaust wheel size.

 

I'm working on some 5 bolt split flange 3" dump pipes for aftermarket turbos too... These are in the very early stage and probably wont be released till next year now. I don't think spending massive amounts of cash on dump pipes for stock turbos is good value for money, yes you might get slight gains over 2.5" dump pipes however for the price, I'd rather have my customers look towards turbo upgrades.

I beleive the manufacturing of the dump pipes has almost been completed. They should be heading towards Aussie shores in a week.

 

Whats the deal with paypal...

I would have paid with Paypal (automatic payment clearance) except there is some charge.... what the? no one else who I have used paypal with has charged me for using it?

 

Only credit card surcharge mate... you shouldn't get a charge if just transferring from your paypal account. If you did, please let me know so I can fix it and I'll gladly refund the $7.77 surcharge.
