The group buy will go ahead if we get the 30 required.... I might run it with a $100 deposit then the remainder on product arrival.

I'll have the tests finished over the next few days, will post when i have more news!

i dunno.. i just dont see how this will increase any power or torque..

the inlet piping from the intercoolers is a 2" diamater, not to mention so is the piping leading from the pod filter, and the fact we have an AFM sorta just ruins everything..

the only way i see these as a benifit is if you replace all the piping with that $1000 kit that uses 60mm ID intake and inlet piping, 60mm TB's, upper and lower plenum match ported aswell as the upper plenum being honed and polished, having the heads port and polished and an aftermarket ecu that deletes the AFM..

i just dont think you'll see any rwkw or torque gains on a boosted zed with the basics..

but i'll be happy to be proven wrong if you can get back to back dyno results on a basicly bolt on zed using stock turbo's and no plenum work done etc..

I'm pretty sure this will see zero increases on anything less than a stage IV/V+ Z. There are too many other bottlenecks before this one on anything below that level for this to have an effect. But if you plan to head up that way, these would be useful.

I know what you're saying, but one thing that you're not considering, is the effect on flow that (even an open) butterfly valve will have. By oversizing the ID of the valve, you give the charge air more space to get past that butterfly to fill the plenum faster

On most cars you are not going to see any difference as restrictions are in the head ie valves, cams etc

Thanks mate that would be good. Z1 supply correctly sized gaskets with their 58mm kits so they're definately out there...

    Have these been pressure tested?

And is 60mm the measurment accross the butterfly? If not what is the diameter of the butterfly?

    Thanks

BTW tom definately NOT tyre-kicker questions, this is the last thing on my "to do" list and would much rather give my money to you than Z1 :D

    Info on possible group buy...

Well guys I've spoken to the supplier and I can have 30 sets ready to distribute in as little as three weeks...

Now can I get a 100% answer from the people that are genuinely interested with the funds ready to purchase within the next two weeks???

I know they haven't been tested yet and it's hard to give an answer without the results however I need to know if there will be enough numbers to make the group buy if the tests turn out well.... I should have the results from my tests by Friday but I want to make sure we can make the thirty, not just 10 definates and 20 maybes....
